Nice little prototype made with the Unity Engine. Best all it free!!
My friend told me to start speedrunning this new game, and it is super fun
this game would be a crazy fun time if you could actually accelerate with strafes... could be a different style they're going for but if they're going for a cs bhop/kz/surf with extra stuff, air strafes would make this game waaay more versatile in terms of what is possible for map making. IMO that's the only con to this game, even being free I personally wouldnt play it again w/o air strafes :(

"Speedrun Maker" is difficult to describe as a proper game... it's a minimalist parkour/3D platformer with a couple of stock levels, but the primary intention here was for the community to do the developers job for him and create all the levels so he didn't have to. With a peak player count in the single figures (see below), this grand gambit to be a successful developer without creating content failed dismally. What do you do in the game? Use the level editor to make a minimum effort minimalist 3D platformer level. Or don't. This game features very lacklustre minimalist low poly "art" and untextured walls and objects for graphics instead of anything remotely contemporary. I'm sure the "developer" thought this would come across as "artistic", but it doesn't, it comes across as "really lazy". Yes, contemporary 3D graphics take a lot of time and effort to create. That doesn't mean it's okay not to bother! Developers must try to understand that gaming is a visual medium, and gamers spend a lot of money on high end gaming rigs for a reason. And that reason is not so they can look at lazy, phoned-in half efforts like this. On the matter of pricing and value for gamers, most "free" games on Steam aren't really free. There's often nasty mobile app cash shops, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of shady pricing schemes that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable, or something you might want to spend your time on. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 6 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.
good concept, needs more polishing, also more sensitivity would be great since 100 was still too slow for me. Tutorial was a little too difficult (might be a skill issue tho) until there are good improvements, would not recommend. If the dev sees this, keep going and this game can become something great
Очень крутая игра потянет даже на пк с моими характеристиками
funnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
As some people already know, I’m the kind of player who cares deeply about movement, especially in a game that’s supposed to be all about speedrunning. When movement is the core of the experience, the bar for quality isn’t just high, it’s everything. Unfortunately, Speedrun Maker doesn’t just fail to meet that bar, it trips over it, falls flat, and then keeps rolling downhill. I’ve played plenty of games with rough movement systems, but this one genuinely takes the cake. The movement here feels clunky, unresponsive, and frustrating, easily some of the worst I’ve ever experienced in any game that claims to be about speedrunning. And sadly, the “maker” part doesn’t save it either. The level editor feels barebones and unintuitive, offering far less flexibility and creativity than countless other games with smaller player bases and simpler concepts. If you’re hoping to make or share interesting speedrun-style levels, you’ll find yourself limited almost immediately. If you’re truly passionate about creating speedrun challenges or games, you’re better off making your own Project, and I genuinely mean that. Install something like Godot or another accessible engine, and you’ll have infinitely more freedom, control, and satisfaction than you’ll ever find here. In short: Speedrun Maker manages to fail at both halves of its own name, it’s neither a good speedrun experience, nor a good maker tool.
its a fun game when people can build fun levels with fast speed movement fun bugs and more would recomend
