This game is all about bringing friends and family together to see who can claim the title of ultimate 2D space pilot. Whether you're a seasoned gamer or just looking for some casual fun, Spaced Out has got you covered.
About This Game

Storyline
Well, if you're looking for an epic space saga with intricate plots and deep lore, you might want to keep looking. Spaced Out is all about the thrill of competition rather than a compelling narrative. The galaxy is your playground, and the only story here is the one you and your friends create as you battle it out in various space-themed mini-games.
Gameplay Mechanics
The gameplay is delightfully simple, making it perfect for gamers and non-gamers alike. You've got physics-based action across 24 different levels (and counting), each with its own unique challenges. From commanding zones to dodging meteors, the games are quick, engaging, and easy to pick up. The controls are straightforward, so you won't be spending your game night explaining complicated moves to your mom or your uncle. Just grab a controller, and you're good to go.
Visuals and Audios
This game sports colourful, retro graphics that feel like a nostalgic trip back to the arcade days. The visuals are charmingly simple yet vibrant, making it easy to keep track of the chaos on screen. The sound design complements the visuals perfectly with upbeat, catchy tunes that keep the energy high. It's not going to win any awards for groundbreaking graphics, but it nails the retro aesthetic it's going for.
Pros

Simple but fun gameplay.
Great party game. Anyone can easily learn the game’s mechanics.
It nails the retro visuals and simplistic gameplay.
High replayability rate as it’s purely a multiplayer game.
Steam Remote play for online multiplayer!

Cons

Has potential to add Community Workshop for custom levels and game mechanics, which they did not.

Conclusion
In a nutshell, Spaced Out is a stellar addition to any game night. Its retro charm, simple yet engaging gameplay, and focus on local multiplayer make it a blast with friends and family. Sure, it might lack some depth, but the fun factor more than makes up for it. So, next time you’re looking for a game to bring everyone together, just remember: the galaxy isn’t as far away as you think. Grab your crew, plop down on the couch, and get ready to find out who’s the best 2D space pilot around! Rating: 9/10 Physics was on my side

Fun little couch party game, looks really pretty. It doesn't have online matchmaking but it works well on Steam Play. Like a lot of retro style games, it's simple but definitely takes some time to master.
This game is a breath of fresh air. Brings you back to the days where you fight with your friends over your colour, it just happens to be little flying space ships this time around. Really nice to just sit back and laugh with the boys again. Also I totally invented the sit still and do nothing strat for some of the levels, best tactical play I've ever created
fun party game with quick matches and simple controls
