Hi, I'm Chaomoon! For 8 years (from 2016 to 2024), I developed Soul's Remnant alone as my passion project. Over years of hosting public playtests, the game developed a community of dedicated players, and grew to be something larger.
Now, working towards bigger and better versions of the game, the team has expanded, with Rajah joining the team since 2025 to help with future updates and development!

Community feedback has always been a crucial part of Soul's Remnant's development, so feel free to join our community and leave feedback for us, as we continuously work towards making the game even better!

Normal players are not recommended to play this game. This is essentially a private playground for the GMs. If they are in a bad mood, your account will suffer. The appeal system only gives automated replies and will never tell you the exact reason for your ban. Players who cheat and use macro‑automated gameplay go unpunished. Your fate hinges entirely on the GM’s mood when they review your reported case. Additionally, US citizens are recommended to play. For non‑US citizens, if you have decent gear and get reported, your account may get banned on grounds like RMT. US players face no such consequences. Game rules effectively do not apply to them; they are free to engage in RMT and run auto‑scripts with impunity. The game balance is also terrible. Faith‑tree skills are vastly overpowered compared to other skill lines. Optimization is abysmal too. Performance drops drastically once there are more than six players on a map, especially for parties of level‑80‑and‑above characters. Over 20 days, I watched other players bot with macros and conduct RMT transactions without receiving any bans. I played entirely manually, grinding to improve my character. I finally hit level 90 and started leveling my gathering/crafting professions — only to have my account terminated. I submitted three appeals, each one merely stating I had violated the user agreement. I cannot understand why cheaters, macro‑users and RMT sellers keep their accounts, some even getting unbanned, while I, an honest legitimate player, get harshly penalized. I played purely manually and never took part in RMT. Everything I bought seemed fairly priced to me. These are just some of the issues regular players have to deal with. If you do not want to run into these problems, you might as well cheat. There is practically no anti‑cheat system. You can even have AI write cheats for you. As long as nobody reports you in‑game, nothing will happen to your account. This game heavily favors cheaters. Only a handful of GMs handle manual reviews. They are swamped processing reported cases and have neither the time nor the will to actively hunt for cheaters.

在商店买了发型跟面部,钱扣了,商店里也显示已经购买,但是人物并没有发生改变,小号创建可以使用发型跟面部,但是已经创建的角色没有改变造型,这是游戏问题还是需要去哪里设置?
3rd (hopefully final) edit: Had a positive open discussion with developer. Transitive Souls were indeed nerfed deliberately, but the severity was unintended. The lack of patch note was a simple mistake. I still disagree with the direction of the game, but I accept its not for me in its current state and thats perfectly okay. I'm moving on from the game for now, but I do recommend anybody that sees this at least try the game. You should be able to tell if its for you fairly quickly, and its free so the only thing it costs you is your time. 2nd Edit: Somebody shared some screenshots on discord from what appear to be twitch chat that I can't confirm if it is legit or not. Said screenshots claim that Transitive Soul nerfs WERE deliberate, but the severity of the nerf was accidental. It also says "we didn't intend to shadow nerf it or anything tho", which points to some clear disconnect in what changes are being made and who is communicating said changes. I'm assuming whoever wrote the developer response to my review is not the same person in the screenshots. I'm adjusting my review to recommended despite the nerf, but only because I can't give it a neutral. I still have no intention of coming back without at least some extension of the "AFK Timer" mechanic, but it feels unfair to leave it negative when its "just" a problem of the game no longer appealing to me. I would also like to highly recommend that the team (I'm talking CM and Mods too, not just development) works on communication not only with players, but also with each other. Stealth Nerfs shouldn't happen, but if they do then your CM and mods need to be aware so they don't get blindsided when players notice. 1st Edit: Developer responded claiming that the drop rate of Transitive Souls was untouched, which I would've been willing to give them the benefit of the doubt on. However they also claimed that all balancing changes are listed in patch notes which is seemingly untrue. They apparently recently stealth nerfed a survey reward that previously gave a 100% increase to ALL skill exp, and now only gives it to combat skills. Even if it was just updating a previously incorrect tooltip and not actually a nerf, that is still important information being withheld (though not technically a "balancing change". As such, I still cannot recommend this game. The one thing keeping me playing as a casual (Transitive Souls) have seemingly been stealth nerfed, despite the constant feedback threads about asking them to be nerfed being downvoted to oblivion. Their price has increased by almost 10x almost overnight. Transitive Souls let you transfer your random rolled stat lines from an item to another of the same type for a reasonable (before the nerf) cost, bypassing the god awful gambling/RNG mechanic whenever you feel its time to upgrade your gear. I had a blast playing until around 50, at which point things slowed down enough that the grind was starting to become a nuisance with their draconian anti-botting measures that are more effective at inconveniencing real players than deterring bots, but I had the goal of my 3rd buff slot power spike at 60 in sight and powered through. By 60 I was pretty burnt out of the grind that felt like it was going to was going to give me RSI having to dance back and forth on my platform (the game was crowded enough at the time that claiming a platform was more efficient then running around a map competing for mobs), since we apparently just aren't allowed to stand still for longer than ~10s because I guess that makes us no better than bots?. I decided to make a different character with a different build hoping to experience the fun I was having from 1-50 again and hopefully longer this time with a different playstyle. 1-50 was still fun, but it once again was a barely tolerable grind to 60 with me losing all motivation to grind for extended periods again. I was hoping that I could just slowly chip away at levels over time using transitive souls to keep my gear relevant after having already gone through the major nuisance of making a full set of gear that actually has all relevant stats for my build, but the nerf just put this game solidly in the category of "Games that I don't think respect my time". tl;dr The game seemingly got a major balance change that bumped me out of target demographic, so despite the fact that I mostly had a blast playing, I can't recommend it in its current state. P.S. If Transitive Souls were not actually nerfed and its just a result of severe market manipulation (likely by a person or persons upset that casuals have a way around a very unfriendly progression system and aren't paying them tens of millions every 6 levels to stay relevant), then I'll update this post to reflect that. Doesn't necessarily mean my recommendation status will change though.

So honestly this game ALMOST made me rage out the first 3 hours. Initial impression is excellent, all of the systems work, the skill tree is massive, the classless concept actually works here but the over populated beginner areas are killer. I am only lvl 30 but 5-15 is is tough, I have not yet reached end game obviously but it seems to level skills you need "mats" that u acquire from killing mobs and it seems that you'll often have to travel back to the starting area to get some of these mats, so you constantly have ppl 30 levels ahead of you coming into your map and just shamelessly KSin you. 0 comms, really wack but luckily I guess the game opens up more and at lv 30 I am no longer running into that. I highly suggest linking up and finding a guild because outside of the guild NOBODY talks. Literally nobody, not in the spawn area, not mobbing, nada. Lame because I like the social aspect of mmorpgs but my guild is good on coms, have helped me with a lot of the beginner concepts in the game. This game is like a mix of PoE, Maplestory and Noita. Tbh I am not really digging the art style too much, I think I like MS a lot more but idk, it works for now. Lots of items have different colors and stuff, so despite being a blob, you can still look different than other blobs and kinda sort of drip out but no where near as cool as Maplestory drip. As for microtransactions, it seems mostly cosmetics but the inventory stuff is kinda lame ngl, I think the game needs to at least double the standard inventories, definitely for mats but at least give us the ability to disassemble every equip item so I don't have to run back to the spawn area every 25mins . I was full on "mats" at like lv 20, extremely disappointed that they basically ask you for a donation in first 5 hours of game time. I did end up dropping $10 but I suppose at 15hrs of game time, it is justified. Would have rather spent it on drip though :( Overall a great game, ppl are saying it is a passion project for the dev, I mean you can feel someone took a lot of time making this game and you can tell he/she cares, there is a survey for you to fill out at like lvl 10 or something. As noted, there are flaws but if given a choice between yes u should get this game or simply no, the choice is very clear to me. Actually wild it has mixed reviews, I know the bot check system is relatively new and annoying but I can only assume a lot of ppl got banned and are salty about it. Ez install, plug your xbox controller in, sit back and enjoy the endless builds!
