Refurb: I tried the tutorial again, the game is extremely slow and I don't think there is any reason it should be. Neptune's Pride (Iron Helmet) with some tweaks. Big deal. I really liked Neptune's Pride when it came out in 2010 and had some rollicking games in there even if some people are really bad sports but I put that down to them being idiotic teenagers. As a pure strategy it really can't be beat. But honestly I simply cannot bring myself to play it anymore for a couple reasons: 1) Very slow uptake on games and with no AI you are left wondering who is getting into the mess. PS I built an AI to play and that saves me waking up at 4am for a turn. 2) Like Ferion, the unrelenting turn schedule requires you to be unemployed and devote all your time to the game. Sleep is entirely irrelevant. 3) I don't want to complete the intro stuff so I can wait hours if not days for some other schmuck to play what will be an inordinately boring shytefest. It is just too tedious to submit to this so I can perhaps later play a game that will be more timely. While Voxel claims 'developer' i don't think re-branding someone else's work is legit unless they get credit. I think Voxel has done a good job but the attraction of starting a new game leaves me shuddering with nausea. I guess you have to play it like I did for a couple years to really understand how horrible people can be,

A great long term game to play and give you something to think about over time. I haven't played the very slow modes, but games can take a few weeks or days, meaning you can just get on once or twice a day for maybe 20 minutes a time and be just fine. If you like deep thinking and trying to read your opponent and learn their strategy, this is the game for you. In a single game you can figure out how they act and what they might do, and plan around it. Very balanced and versatile, you can change rules at the start of the game for variety and unique twists, and the amount of variety in the honestly kind of small content pool, leads to plenty at your disposal to use. I've not played the turn based mode yet, but it does allow faster paced games, if you want to sit down with a friend and play that, or can allow you to not miss out on action while busy! Great game overall and good simple formatting would recommend anyone try out!
Easy to get into, difficult to master. If you like Stellaris or Twilight Empirium, this is a great casual version.
Solid browser-based real-time 4x game. Influenced by Neptune's Pride and Subterfuge. Discord community is helpful. Developer is active and very open to feedback. Github repo is open and wiki is an excellent resource. I played with a local friend group for that special kind of friendship-altering diplomacy. In-game tutorial not too helpful, complicated by operating turn-based instead of standard real-time. An additional Beginner Match was required to proceed with a private match, which was a chore for our group. Android app is available and operates well, but understandably not as friendly as desktop access. Game feels a bit more defensive and diplomatic from the limited others I've played (mostly Subterfuge). Specialists are divided into carrier-based and star-based and seem mostly generic. Carriers cannot alter course or directly target other carriers, so majority of battles were star-based & defensive. Will revisit when our group gets that diplomacy itch again. Worth checking out!
This game has taken over my life!
Unsure what to do. I did not manage to pass the first level of tutorial. I don't see where the planets are, i only see stars. Nothing is logical. Civilisation are set on planet, not on stars. The interface is not very intuitive. At some point, I manage to fill in a carrier with some ships, sent it to a nearby planet and then unsure what happened, the ships were just gone. I watch the embeded YT tuto, the guy talks, talks.... talks..., move his pointer in circle on the screen, well, go straight to the point, another hour wasted trying to understand how it all works,
Good game with much love and a great community! But if you get hooked it can be real time consuming :)
game is too confusing
played quite a bit on my phone its a fun game matches can last a couple weeks its a great game to play throughout the day rather than all 1 sitting. may take a bit to get used to but its fun and easier when you learn it. it also connects your account to phone i play this at work so it makes it so much easier. honestly underrated.
Ich fühle mich gescamt obwohl ich kein Geld bezahlt habe
