Completing the game took me roughly 20 minutes, and it is designed without Steam achievements, keeping the focus entirely on the experience. As a free title, the game offers a single ending and includes a convenient save feature. The simplicity of the gameplay makes it accessible to players of all skill levels, with a straightforward objective: helping Applewood reach the burnt pie. Considering all these aspects, I would rate the difficulty a 2 out of 10. 'Smoke Break!' has a very creative concept and a charming presentation. Playing as Applewood, a living puff of smoke searching for a burnt pie gives the game a fun personality that stands out from other stealth puzzle games. The factory setting is colorful and filled with small details that make exploration enjoyable. The gameplay focuses on sneaking through areas, avoiding bakers, and interacting with the environment to cause small acts of sabotage. The smoke collection mechanic adds some strategy since moving too quickly causes Applewood to shrink, encouraging careful navigation. Some puzzle sections are clever and satisfying to figure out, while others can feel slightly repetitive over time. The visuals and sound design fit the lighthearted tone well, and characters like Gumbo the Janitor add extra tension during stealth sections. At times, the movement and stealth mechanics can feel a little simple, though the overall atmosphere keeps the experience entertaining. Overall, 'Smoke Break!' is a solid indie stealth puzzle game with a unique idea, charming world design, and plenty of playful moments.
