Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition

好玩，只能说很可惜，为什么这种题材不是本土制作的，很期待啊

Sleeping Dogs is one of the must-play games from the early 2010s, it's a "GTA-like" but with martial arts combat and the setting it presents along with the stories that it tells hits right. The open world is well sized after its content scope and the atmosphere sounds and soundtracks are thematically perfect along with loads of good songs you can listen to on the ingame radio. Highlight is definitely the main story, but I've been enjoying some of the side stuff as well and while it does have a bit of that jank of its time, it still holds up incredibly well today.

peak game. imo it shines best with its entertaining story and phenomenal hand to hand combat. this game is definitely clunky at times and has cons, but there is basically no reason to not at least give it a try. and no, is not a GTA clone. it has it similarities but is a unique game on its own. also don't forget; a man who never eat pork bun is never a whole man!

I previously played the original release on my girlfriend's account, and honestly, this Definitive Edition doesn't feel like much of an upgrade. Back on the PS3, the original version had a much darker, more oppressive atmosphere that made the game feel genuinely suspenseful. While this version does patch a few bugs, the visual updates give the character models a waxy look, and the lighting is far too bright even in areas that are supposed to be pitch black. I still prefer the original PS3 release and the now delisted original version on Steam.
