Slay the Princess — The Pristine Cut

Очень понравилось. Визуальная новелла + рогалик. Написана отлично, арт и музыка приятные. Если вам не претит данный формат - обязательно берите, не разочаруетесь.

Honestly, I don't see the allure. The storylines are not that compelling and running through each iteration leads to the same ending construct. I was thinking completing each story would incrementally alter the ending, but it makes no difference. Each storyline seems to rely more on spectacle than substance, so after playing through a couple runs and being dazzled by the beautiful art style, you're left feeling that nothing is really there. 3/10 would not Slay again.

The writing is shallow, the characters are caricatures, the scenarios are childishly simplistic. Nothing criminal on itself, but since this game has nothing but writing (and images), there is nothing much to recommend. The fact that this game has such overwhelmingly positive reviews on Steam is an interesting observation about the modern audiences but does not say much about the quality of the game.

I love this game! I went in blind with no prior knowledge to this game after a friend said I have to try this, and it was absolutely worth it! The story, the voice acting and the horror aspect of it! This is one of those game you wish you can play for the first time again after already 100% the game

My first visual novel experience did NOT disappoint. The initial mystery and curiosity of the game’s premise is a great hook with which to pull you in to the humor, wit, and quality of writing that is nothing short of insane. Completing and experiencing every aspect of the game is satisfying and rewarding, but the story is leagues above others: it’s as somber and depressing, or as hopeful and optimistic as you craft it to be, but either way it’s an existential ride that will have you questioning yourself and the very nature of humanity.
