basically evangelion
"...abbi il coraggio di andare avanti." "Non ci sono finali prematuri. Non ci sono decisioni sbagliate." "Questa è una storia d'amore." Non hai neanche creato il file di gioco e ti è già stato detto tutto quello che questa storia è. Mutevole ma vero. Veramente nient'altro (di utile) da dire
Vraiment incroyable, c'est une oeuvre très bien écrite, je recommande fortement.
this ♥♥♥♥ is peak
Big oof for this one. I think I just went in with completely different expectations as to what this would be like, especially looking at the amount of positive reviews. I can see how someone could really enjoy this one, but even a way shorter game like Bad End Theater does this concept a gazillion times better than Slay the Princess. There is a lot of potential for how this experience could have been improved. It doesn't surprise me that this game is being sold in a bundle with 1000XResist, since both games are in my personal trash-tier. While 1000XResist was the absolute worst game I ever played, Slay the Princess did at least get a lot of laughs out of me for its humor and good dialogue writing. The voice acting and the art were also enjoyable and you can feel that a lot of work went into the game! As for its content, the story and gameplay are so hollow. Shallow, pseudo-intellectual nothingness with the illusion of choice or consequence. I could as well just have smashed my keyboard randomly and wound up with the same result. Nothing you do or say really matters. Up until the credits finished I didn't give a single ♥♥♥♥ about any of the characters and I honestly wish I hadn't played this game. My bad that I did.
Loved this game , super unique. Fun to play with someone else too.
In Slay the Princess you are a knight and the only task you are given is to Slay the Princess. You aren't given a reason why. "What?", you think, "aren't knights supposed to save princesses?" I love this game, it reminds me so much of Stanley Parable. The art style is fantastic and even though it's a visual novel which might not appeal to everybody it's still very enjoyable. It constantly breaks the fourth wall and the narrator is so funny. the lore is deep and very good and there are many paths you can take, depending on your decisions. it is definitely advisable to unlock all the paths! Every text has voice acting and the voice acting is really good. The Pristine cut adds three new storylines which I all found great. The game is heavy on the horror aspect, but there are also mysthical and love stories in it, depending on which path you take. there is much to discover and the game doesnt really takes itself seriously in some parts. Definitely a must play if you like thinking out of the box or defying rules (especially the narrators rules)
