Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 28 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Kavkaz Sila Games.

Planning on playing more when playing on a better PC but I've loved what I've played. Feels intimate and introspective in a way I don't get from a lot of games, or maybe I just relate in some way. I'm not sure. Made me grateful to still be capable of making new memories, and for that, I wanna give it two recommendations.
Slavic Winter Simulator, developed by Dobry Snegovik Studio and Average Winter Enjoyers and published by Kavkaz Sila Games, is an atmospheric exploration game that captures a specific slice of nostalgia unique to the post-Soviet experience. Rather than presenting itself as a conventional simulator with goals or missions, it acts as an immersive time capsule—a loving recreation of New Year celebrations in the early 2000s that transports players into the snow-covered courtyards and concrete apartment blocks of Eastern Europe. The game’s focus is not on challenge or progression but on evoking a mood: the smell of sparklers, the glow of balcony lights, and the distant sound of laughter echoing through frosty air. It seeks to remind players of simpler times, when joy was found not in digital fireworks or structured achievements, but in the small rituals of winter nights. The game begins without preamble or instruction. You find yourself in a residential courtyard blanketed in snow, surrounded by the familiar architecture of Soviet-era housing. From there, it’s entirely up to you what to do next. You can wander the courtyard, throw snowballs, light fireworks, or visit any of the nearby apartments. Each environment is built with a remarkable attention to detail—the cracks on the walls, the peeling paint, the flickering hallway lights, and the faint hum of old radiators all contribute to the authenticity. This isn’t a stylized or romanticized version of the past, but a lovingly imperfect one. The realism of the design, coupled with the slow pace and freedom of exploration, makes the experience feel almost dreamlike, as if you’re walking through a faded memory rather than a physical space. One of the game’s most impressive achievements is its atmosphere. The developers use Unreal Engine’s photogrammetry and Nanite rendering to build a visually convincing environment that captures the stark beauty of a cold winter night. Snow glistens under streetlights, windowpanes glow softly from within, and footprints crunch audibly beneath your boots. Every part of the world feels tangible and familiar. It’s not only the realism that stands out, but the emotional tone that underlies it. There’s a quiet melancholy beneath the nostalgia—a sense of stillness that speaks to loneliness and reflection as much as warmth and celebration. To enhance this feeling, the game includes a variety of visual filters, from VHS grain to fisheye distortion, that allow players to experience the world through different textures of memory. These stylistic options are not gimmicks, but integral parts of the game’s emotional palette. Interactivity is the backbone of the experience. Although there are no missions or storylines, nearly every object in the world can be manipulated in some way. You can knock on doors, open cupboards, turn on lights, pour drinks, and light sparklers by holding them to a gas stove’s flame. You can explore apartments filled with small domestic details—televisions playing static, radios emitting faint music, old computers resting on cluttered desks. These actions may not serve any mechanical purpose, but they create a sense of participation and intimacy that few games manage to achieve. Every small act, from throwing snowballs to peeking through a window, becomes an act of connection with this recreated world. The seamless design—with no loading screens or barriers between spaces—helps maintain immersion, making it feel like one continuous, living environment rather than a collection of scenes. The sound design reinforces this immersive quality. The ambient noise of the environment is subtle but effective: the soft fall of snow, the murmur of distant conversation, the faint echo of fireworks, and the occasional clatter of metal or footsteps in a stairwell. There’s no traditional soundtrack to dictate mood or rhythm, which allows the world itself to provide its own music. The result is a kind of meditative realism that encourages the player to slow down and simply exist within the space. Combined with the visual fidelity and subdued pacing, the soundscape creates a deeply introspective mood. It’s the kind of experience that asks you not to play, but to remember—to let yourself drift through moments of familiarity and quiet observation. Despite its successes in atmosphere and authenticity, Slavic Winter Simulator may not appeal to everyone. Those looking for structure, objectives, or progression will likely find it lacking. There are no explicit goals, puzzles, or narrative arcs to guide you; the game offers freedom, but also a certain aimlessness. For some, that lack of direction can feel frustrating or hollow. However, the game’s minimalist approach is intentional—it’s not about accomplishment, but about presence. The emptiness of its design mirrors the quiet, unstructured moments of real life, where meaning comes not from tasks but from sensations and memories. In this sense, its emptiness becomes its greatest strength, giving players space to reflect and project their own emotions onto the world. Technically, the game is ambitious for a small studio project. The high level of visual detail and interactivity comes at a cost, and performance may vary depending on the player’s hardware. There are occasional rough edges in texture transitions or collision detection, and some animations can feel stiff, but these imperfections never undermine the experience. In fact, they arguably add to the charm—reminding the player that this is not a polished commercial product, but a heartfelt creation. The developers’ commitment to evoking authenticity outweighs the need for refinement, and the world they’ve built feels alive precisely because it’s imperfect. Ultimately, Slavic Winter Simulator is not a game that measures itself by the standards of conventional design. It’s a sensory experience, a nostalgic meditation, and a digital preservation of a cultural moment that might otherwise fade from memory. It succeeds in making the mundane feel magical, transforming the act of walking through a snowy courtyard into a deeply personal journey. For players who appreciate atmospheric games like Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture or Lake, but who crave something more culturally specific and grounded, this title offers something rare and sincere. It’s a love letter to winter, to childhood, and to the strange beauty of quiet nights under falling snow. Rather than entertaining you, Slavic Winter Simulator invites you to pause, to look, and to remember. Rating: 6/10
