About
Explore, Parkour, Save the world!
Skybound is a game about exploration with an Exhilarating movement system. Using Bells abilities to bring the world back together!
Skybound is a 3D exploration platformer focused on fun, fluid movement mechanics, parkour and environmental puzzle solving. You play as Bell, a young archaeologist exploring mystical floating islands in search of ancient artifacts. Use Bell's specialized equipment - including a Grappling Anchor, agility boots, and mastery over the magical "Flow" - to investigate ruins untouched by explorers for ages.
Swing through the sky, traverse the islands and meet its curious and whacky inhabitants. You've got a contract to fulfill and mysteries to unearth!
Please note that this is only ACT 1, more acts will be made if the game is positively received!
In Skybound you can EXPLORE three different islands.
By using Bell's GRAPPELING HOOK.
And once you've mastered the MOMENTUM and FLOW of the game you'll be FLYING like this:
And Most importantly, you can destroy oh so many POTS! Some even contain collectibles!
And if your good enough you might make it to the global Steam Leaderboards!

Bell wasn't exactly what Professor A. N. Curia - who studies anicent human civilization - expected to receive. Shipped to the Professor archaeologist as "Human Remains", the package contained something far more alive: a baby. Turns out, raising a human is excellent for research (and admittedly, pretty adorable).
Growing up, Bell took to her mentor/parent's work in a big way. She spent countless nights under the blanket reading about lost civilizations, and even more time tagging along on excavation trips. Eager as ever, she learned fast by studying artifacts, documenting ruins and decoding ancient texts. By seventeen, she'd shaped into a fine archaeologist in her own right.
Now she's got her very first solo job! The client came through Professor A. N. Curia, so they must be reputable. The mission is straightforward: retrieve an artifact from the ancient and mysterious sky islands and prove she's a real archaeologist. This is the beginning of something great!
But as Bell explores the floating ruins, something feels... off. Questions keep surfacing that don't quite add up. What exactly does the client want with this artifact? And why all the secrecy?
Skybound is a demo created over 6 weeks by a multidisciplinary team of students from many different universities together for a semester at DADIU (Danish Academy of Digital, Interactive Entertainment). This project brought together aspiring developers, artists, designers and composers, all of whom have never worked on a game of this scale before, and with this tight of a schedule.
While we're incredibly proud of what we've accomplished in such a short timeframe, you may encounter bugs or rough edges along the way. We appreciate your understanding and hope you enjoy exploring the sky islands with Bell despite any hiccups!
Thank you for playing our game!

a very good made game the only bad part is that is very short
Nice game, though definitely something of a work in progress--though the dev does seem to be taking an active role in that, and listening to the player comments (unlike some large companies I could name). Works quite well under Linux Mint and with a gamepad, though, as of mid-February 2026 lacks a listing of the gamepad controls alongside the mouse and keyboard ones, so there may be a bit of fumbling to find them all. I look forward to the results of a bit more polishing on it.

PLEASE play this game. THIS IS PEAAAAKKKKK the mechanics are super fun and really well made!
good game with good mechanics
The game's main strength is that it makes running, jumping, and grappling-hooking one's way around floating islands a lot of fun. But it also has interesting lore and quirky characters, great voice acting, and lots of charm. Some parts are rough around the edges - e.g., the UI needs work and I got stuck in the level geometry once - but the devs are evidently still working on it. My only ludonarrative quibble is how the game has you play as a trained archeologist, but at the same time incentivizes the player to break what is supposedly ancient pottery strewn across the islands, due to some of said pottery containing collectibles. For the first hundred pots or so, I actually felt guilty doing that. Not guilty enough to stop looking for discoveries, though.
GRAPPLING HOOK THE VIDEO GAME YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Interesting mechanic and pleasant visuals. A little rough around the edges is all. Two minor complaints: 1. I got stuck in a bush once with no way of getting out. 2. When falling down, you can see some out of bounds areas that are not properly detailed, which breaks immersion a little bit.
A great game that hits both my love of exploration and the “gotta go fast” corner of my brain. Already excited to hunt down the last remaining achievements 🥳

Extremely fun movement system. Mid story, fortunately can be skipped easily.
