finally good tower defense
A really good tower defence. Simple, engaging and just the right length - a few more levels and i would probably become bored. Would greatly benefit from implementing speed controls - later levels are way too long. Also it's supposed to be expensive but devs probably messed up regional pricing so for me it's fair - I went and bought Supporter Pack instead.
Almost free, offers few hours of fun. Some towers feel noticably less viable than the rest. Some player abilities (from second half of the game, pretty much all of them) are useless. Game lacks chellanges, overall it's "grind and level up" game, without greater tought left for the player. Levels are uninspiring. there are very obvious chokepoints, player always knows where towers need to be placed (with maybe exeption of second last level). Towers lack branching upgrade threes with different end outcomes, that could validate second playthrue or different strategy. Orcs are way too quiet. You can't hear them, unleess you zoom all the way in. There's a bit few levels, and no creator or Workshop intergration. Quite unpolished and lacking at places, but over all really fun game.
A mixed, snacky little 5h experience. I rlly disliked that, in a game where u grind upgrades, the last few levels are just a wall that u can't grind past. I'm an adult, so I won't downvote over it. But my final experiences were frustration and annoyance, and despite having played 5 hours and enjoyed 4 of those hours, I'm afraid that's how I'll remember the game: frustrating and annoying.
left me wanting more great stuff

Often I find horde-shooters to be very underwhelming. Like "oh wow look, 30 enemies, that's... cool I guess..." and Earth Defence Force 4.1 is the closest I've played to what I feel is a *proper* horde-shooter. "Sir, We Have An Orc Problem" made me realise I haven't played a proper tower defence game. While I haven't played very many tower defence games, this game has made me realise the ones I have played are the equivalent of every horde-shooter I've played other than EDF. ♥♥♥♥ yes I want 40,000 enemies on my screen, ♥♥♥♥ yes I want to see them all melt as they try to breach my firing line, thank you SWHAOP The reason I mention horde-shooters is because this game doesn't have any special tanky enemies or bosses to dilute the swarm. It's just a pure horde. There's no MOABs, no Bile Titans, no Dreadnoughts, nothing that could water down the fight. It's purely fodder enemies until there are so many fodder enemies that it's a challenge again. Some orcs in this game do have more health than others but isn't super noticeable unless you're already sort of scraping by in terms of damage. Only downside is that it's a bit short. There's not a massive amount of levels, but I wouldn't want there to be more unless more turrets and upgrades were added as well since then it would just feel like padding. It cost me ~10AUD and gave me ~9 hours until I got every achievement. I might not think that dollar to hour ratio is worth it for every game but this one it definitely was.
I don't usually write reviews but this has been pretty fun so far, sure its a bit grindy and the graphics are simple but, it has been an incredibly fun game so far, I enjoy seeing the hordes of orcs mowed down, if you have been waiting for a game where you fight a horde of enemy's this is the game for you,
just a nicely balanced turret game. Does what it says it does.
Great game I'm a bit disappointed that there isn't much new content compared to the demo, but it's still well worth the price and a lot of fun. I hope future updates add a results screen that compares your latest run to your previous attempt, or even saves damage statistics across all runs. That would make tracking progress much more satisfying.
