I just downloaded this game again because I hadn't played it in a long time and decided to give it another chance, and couldn't remember why I stopped playing. Turns out I couldn't remember because the game was so bad I must have repressed memories of it due to the trauma. Enemies literally just *poof* into existence when you get within about 15 yards of where they're going to spawn, or closer. I was in an air duct early in the game, carefully making my way into a tiny room with turrets which I'd already killed. When I was about halfway between the room and air duct 5 or 6 robots just appeared directly in front of me. And this isn't like, now and again. This is every single fight. You will constantly be seeing enemies appear from nothing, all at once, and they all just bee-line for you. There's no AI for the enemies or anything. Thankfully I only got this from some cheap bundle instead of intentionally spending money on this thing. I wouldn't recommend this game if it were $2, let alone $20. Pros: No Cons: bad color palette uninspired graphics weird/uncomfortable character movement and perspective poor combat system poor enemy design poor level design lots and lots of shortcuts during the development
Meh FPS, your own muzzle flashes obscure your vision of the enemies, horrible optimization leads to 20 and below framerates on the final level, uneven difficulty puts the hardest area near the very beginning of the game, and the final boss fight is a joke once you figure out what you're actually supposed to shoot. The original version videos actually look more fun than this "2.0", even if the graphics weren't as post-processy. Also, apparently this game was stolen from the actual dev.
Cyberdunk for poor people. Don't waste your time, it's bad.
It plays horribly. The enemies hit you non-stop blinding you. All the proportions are messed up.
I have played this game through several times and when I tried playing it today it seemed different. I started it up and suddenly received a blaster instead of a chainsaw. I thought "Huh maybe they changed some stuff" Only to find that the entire game was ported over to Unity and the dev basically sucked at remaking the game. The character movement feels stiff compared to what it use to be. The weapons feel horrible to use and the balancing on them is way off. The enemy AI is comparable to if you gave the engine to someone completely new and they tried to make something move. At least add some distance between the player and the enemy so they don't constantly hug you. You voice acting for "Brick" has also been changed to what sound like a good translate voice. I think it sucks and the game even though it was very basic was much better off before the changes. On top of all that I do know that the game was stolen. If this was an attempt to cover it all up then you did a very poor job and you should be ashamed.
Guns are unsatistfying to shoot, sensitivity resets all the time, voice acting is absolutely awful. Buuuut, the graphics aren't terrible and I'm sure somewhere out there there'd be somebody that would like the music.
SickBrick cons: poor gameplay design. (enemy mobs swarm you. your weapons are weak.) poor level design. (locked in rooms where enemy mobs swarm you. ground obstructions can also prevent free movement.) backtracking/antiprogression. (you start the level/wave over if you lose. there's no saving.) sucks.
Stolen game
When I acquired this few years ago it felt like it was only some kind of tutorial, it was ok, but I got stuck(played in offline mode). During those years I saw few patches going through, but only recently when I got a good gaming laptop and saw it works under Linux I have given it another try. Well I see the game has been completely revamped. The graphic is ok, the music is nice, but the enemies spawning from nowhere not particularly. The autosave brought me at the beginning of the level with only minimal health, that is unacceptable. The nail to negative review is that I wanted to restart the game to see if the health issue isn't some kind of glitch, well the game is not starting anymore(black screen with music), avoid. Edit. Since the case is in couple of places it looks the whole theft case seems legit, and that would also explain why the game run without problems on my old, clunky computer, but is having problems now on much newer one.
This piece of garbage is worth less than a dollar. As you can see by the other reviews, the game itself is about two hours long, and what you'll get for that is a game that's worse than 90% of the free FPS flash games released ten years ago. On top of all this, this game was stolen from its original developer by a damn furry. Jesus.
