Really really fun, I played with a friend but you could easily play this solo and have just as much fun. Great Game!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ **Shift at Midnight** is what happens when you combine working the night shift at a convenience store with the worst possible customers and the unsettling feeling that something is VERY wrong. At first, it feels like a pretty normal midnight shift. Stock the shelves, keep the store clean, work the register, deal with customers, and try to make it through the night. Sounds easy, right? **Wrong.** The customers alone are an experience. You get the usual late-night crowd asking questions, buying random stuff, standing at the counter for way too long, and generally making you wonder why you didn't apply for a daytime shift instead. 😂 Some interactions are genuinely funny, while others start feeling increasingly strange as the night goes on. And then there are those moments where you're just trying to finish your normal store duties when something happens that makes you stop and think: **“Okay... that's not normal.”** The game does a great job of taking everyday store experiences — restocking, checking the aisles, serving customers, cleaning up, and keeping everything running — and slowly turning them into something much more unsettling. There's something about being alone in a store at midnight where even walking down an aisle suddenly feels like a terrible life decision. I also really like how the game makes you pay attention to your surroundings. Little things can feel completely normal one minute and incredibly suspicious the next. You're constantly wondering if you're actually seeing something, or if working overnight has finally destroyed your sanity. The atmosphere is definitely one of the biggest strengths. The quiet store, fluorescent lights, empty aisles, random customers, and strange events all work together really well. It captures that weird feeling of being somewhere familiar but completely different because it's the middle of the night. Overall, **Shift at Midnight** is a really fun horror experience with a great mix of normal retail chaos and creepy encounters. **10/10 — would absolutely work another midnight shift.** ...Actually, make that 9/10. I need hazard pay for dealing with these customers. 😂
