About
Shelves And Sorcery is a relaxing fantasy organization game about turning absolute chaos back into order.
Weapons, potions, spellbooks, fruits, vegetables, magical curiosities, and thousands of other items have been scattered throughout three fantasy shops. Pick everything up, find where it belongs, and slowly watch each shop return to the way it was meant to be.
Take your time and enjoy the satisfaction of putting everything in its place, or learn every corner of the shop and race against players around the world for the fastest time.
Choose from three shops of dramatically different sizes, each with its own setting, atmosphere, and challenge. Then return to them in four different modes, whether you want to relax, chase the fastest time, wield every bit of magic from the start, or organize without magic at all.
• Casual Mode – No timer and no pressure. Take your time, enjoy the atmosphere, and organize every shelf at your own pace.
• Timed Mode – Race against the clock and compete on the global leaderboards. Learn where every item belongs, master your Sorceries and Enchantments, perfect your route, and keep pushing for a faster time.
• Archmage Mode – Start with every Sorcery and Enchantment already unlocked. Take on the entire shop at full magical strength and see just how powerful an experienced shopkeeper can be.
• No Magic Mode – The magic of the world has escaped. No Sorceries. No Enchantments. No magical shortcuts. Just you, thousands of misplaced items, and the knowledge you've gained along the way.
1,000+ items to organize
A cozy shop tucked away in the quiet village of Burg. Once a welcoming stop for locals and passing adventurers, its shelves have fallen into disarray. With 1,048 items to restore, it's a comfortable introduction to the satisfying world of organizing.
3,000+ items to organize
A well-loved shop in the bustling market town of Stonebridge, built through years of honest work by its humble merchant. With 3,085 misplaced items, restoring The Merchant's Rest offers a much larger challenge with plenty of shelves waiting to be put right.
4,000+ items to organize
High above the clouds on the floating isle of Vane stands a legendary shop filled with magical treasures from across the world. With 4,066 items scattered throughout, The Grand Athenaeum is the largest challenge of them all. Take your time restoring it, or master every shelf and chase the fastest time.
Thankfully, you don't have to organize thousands of magical objects entirely by hand.
As you make progress, unlock Sorceries designed to help you tackle the mess.
Gather matching items from around the shop, reveal objects you've been struggling to find, or use magic to send items toward the shelves where they belong.
The more you organize, the more powerful your magical toolkit becomes.
Magic isn't limited to spells.
Unlock Enchantments that permanently improve your abilities and change how you move through each shop.
Carry more items at once. Increase your reach. Move faster. Jump higher. Eventually, even take to the air.
Combined with your Sorceries, these abilities can turn an experienced shopkeeper into an organizing force of nature and become an important part of chasing faster times.
Whether you're carefully organizing The Hearth & Barrel after a long day, working your way through the thousands of items inside The Merchant's Rest, or fighting for a place on the leaderboard in The Grand Athenaeum, Shelves And Sorcery is built around one simple satisfaction:
Finding where something belongs...
and finally putting it there.

Reviews
Just want to know if this is a sorting game you should buy? The answer is YUP! Want more info? This review is for those who really enjoy this genre of game (sorting) but don't want to buy every new game in the genre to figure out which ones are worth it and which ones aren't since so many have been coming out recently. I, however, have been buying too many and so have grounds for comparing them. That said, if you DID enjoy Arcane Library and are wanting a great follow-up to that satisfaction, then this is it. There are others in the genre that are still enjoyable and have unique ideas, but I have to say this one feels like it is the cleanest and most polished. I've already put over 20 hours into it and personally haven't had a single bug. There's a nice balance to the layout for all the items instead of having odd items that don't really fit in anywhere or throw something else off and cause an imbalance. It's a very well done version for this genre. I admit, Arcane Library is still my #1, but this is a solid #2 for me. Yes, it's an assets package and you'll see the same items in other games, but the layout, item choices, sounds (I really love what they chose as the sound for completing a shelf and the little almost bubble sounds of the items on it afterwards, it's extremely satisfying IMO), movement, spells, level designs (of which you get three: small, medium, and large) - everything feels like it was chosen with intention instead of just slapped on like an "I guess that'll work" treatment to the game just to get it finished. I love that there are multiple challenges to play each level so it offers you a reason to come back and play again. Picking up items and throwing them is clean and smooth, which I appreciate. There's another game in this genre that I'm enjoying except you have to click and item repeatedly sometimes just to get it to pick up and you can just pickup throw in quick succession - you either have to pause for a moment or just keep clicking hoping it doesn't take too long to trigger the throw and, whewboy, is it ANNOYING. This game does the pickup and throw beautifully. I personally hope they add more maps in the future. I don't care what size it is, as long as the quality of the map and items stays as well done as these, I'm here for it. As it is, I still have a few more achievements I can go earn for it for now. Devs, whatever you do, please don't sacrifice quality of your game for getting more content out sooner - if you do decide to add to it. You have a GREAT game here and I'd hate to see it suffer bc you rushed future decisions instead of taking the time and care you did with it so far.

A surprisingly well made and addicting game. It's simple but easy to get transfixed by. There were practically no issues to be seen except for a weird visual glitch when emptying your hand too fast and the game saying you have extra items in your hand. Out of Mana mode is definitely the best way to experience the game. Good fun to be had here.
give us more rooms to sort, please! <3 supporing workshop with player made maps would be incredible for replayability
The recent updates added some great quality of life aspects so I fully recommend if you have an itch for a nice cleanup game.
A lovely sorting game. It looks good. Some of the items are related to Teddy's Haven. Books and wands have funny descriptions. The music is very soothing.
Shelves and Sorcery stands out as one of the better games to come out in this first big wave of organizing games. The variety of of objects is this game's best feature. Many different kinds of objects and a lot of variety within each category. It makes organizing them pretty fun. Also the book puns and weapon names are worth a good laugh.
I love love love love love this game so much!!!! Please make more like this. I don't use the magic with the exception of the magic that allows me to carry up to 15 items. I truly enjoy the colors (oh wow what eye candy that is) and I love how when I finally find that last piece and how it jumps up and down to let me know I am done gathering that item.
Really good game and very enjoyable but, if you're going for the achievements, its pretty repetitive and the fun stops there kind of. Still very enjoyable.
there are a few minor bugs but there have already been patches so hopefully the rest are ironed out soon. really fun, relaxing, and repetitive! edit: the bug that bothered me the most is now fixed :)
Well worth the buy! I have sunk about 18 hours into my first play through, playing only on casual mode and using little to no sorcery just to enjoy the coziness first. I can easily get more play time through the timed mode and/or by mastering more sorcery. I already have another play through planned with different organization techniques! Overall, I really loved the art in this game and that it has 3 levels with many ways to change up game play. Plus no AI is a bonus!
