I´m not used to write reviews for an Indie games, especially those, that have 18+ mark. But in this case I need to make an exception. This game is obviously liked by most, who play it, but all the reviews up to now are short and… not very informative :)
First and foremost, this game is not a porn game and actually, it is even very hard to call it erotic game. The definition sexy is the closest to the reality. All in all, there are three pictures of the main heroine (one for each class), in three different state of undress, and that´s it. So, if you are here for the pixelated ♥♥♥♥♥, you will be really disappointed. But this game is great!
Why you ask? First, funny situations, embarrassing situations, character of the main heroine and her companions and the story itself, it is all, that make this game so good. The story itself is highly immature and yet, it is handled in a very mature way. I understand, that this definition is confusing, but I see no better way to describe it. Story itself was interesting enough for me to follow this game through, even after the main stripping event (which came somewhere in the middle of the game and you will not get anything extra after that point) and even when the story feel cheesy and simple, there are some surprises and actually only one expectation toward the end was fulfilled exactly as expected. But what is most important, this game is not disgusting, as it usually is with erotic JRPG. Although heroine suffer some mistreatment from both her companions and environment, it is nothing, that would make your stomach turn inside out. It is more like a hard pranks made on a good friend to make her embarrassed (ok, this is a little bit more...). There is no rape, no gore, or any similar disgusting ♥♥♥♥, that usually brake this type of games for me. And I think, that it is good, that at least few games like this exist.
Second reason, why this game is good is the game itself. It is typical JRPG Dungeon Crawler, but handled very well. The main character can be customized quit a lot and one of your companions will also be chosen by you, so the game style can be changed quite a lot from game to game. It is not hard (at least not on the casual difficulty), but it is not very easy neither and some of the levels can be very confusing (especially blood level – that was the level, where I given up and ask for a help of a guide book).
If I must mentioned some cons, I can only nitpick. Some parts of the story feels like a lost potential. Especially with the main heroine and her first companion (mercenary). There is almost no story difference between each class of heroine (all are naive, lighthearted and a little bit slow in thinking. No difference in text at all) and only little difference between each type of mercenary companion.
Also, even though I like this minimalistic way of handling the eroticism in the game, I would prefer little more, than just three pictures. It would be nice, if the heroine would have at least a face expression. But as I said, this is just a nitpick.
All in all, this game deserve very nice 8/10. I thinking about 07/10, but this game is Indie and (if I understand correctly) first game of the Sexy Dev. Therefore, I was willing to close my eye from some of the problems. I plan to buy next game from the Sexy Dev and I hope, that I found everything, that was good in this game again and much more to make it interesting (or at least face expressions :)). Because no formula will last forever.
