About
Sector Unknown - Prologue is a free introductory version of the full-game Sector Unknown.
Sector Unknown - Prologue is an immersive isometric RPG that draws inspiration from classics like Fallout 2, Knights of the Old Republic, Fallout: New Vegas, as well as more modern titles such as Wasteland 3, Encased, Colony Ship, Trudograd, and Pathfinder: Kingmaker. Every decision, every nuance in character development has tangible consequences. Alongside combat, the game equally emphasizes alternative strategies for progression, inviting players to leverage their character's unique abilities to navigate through the narrative creatively and diplomatically.
In Sector Unknown - Prologue, your saga begins as a prisoner aboard a transport ship from which you escape in a commandeered escape pod, crash-landing on Maku, a forsaken world veiled within a remote and uncharted region of space. This planet becomes the foundation of your odyssey as you convert it into a stronghold and base of operations. From there, you will set forth into space, exploring distinct worlds and locations, each teeming with its own factions and unique stories.
In your quest, you will confront the shadowy dealings of Star Frontier, the powerful mega-corporation that once imprisoned you. Operating unchecked in the hidden 'null sector'—now absent from all official star charts—Star Frontier has established a tyrannical reign of terror and destruction. Your mission becomes to unite the sector's backwater and forsaken planets, through either force or diplomacy, and overthrow their oppressive rule once and for all.
Sector Unknown - Prologue weaves themes of exploration, discovery, conflict and greed, crafting an epic tale of adventure and rebellion in the boundless expanse of space.
With the Prologue version of the game, the entire first planet of Maku will be available for players.
In Sector Unknown - Prologue, every choice you make shapes your journey. As you traverse through null sector, your interactions with characters and factions on each planet will uniquely influence the narrative. Your decisions determine not only the outcome of each planetary story arc but also the fate of the entire sector. From forging alliances to making tough moral choices, your path is yours to define. Whether through diplomacy, strategy, or combat, your story will unfold in a way that reflects your personal play-style and decisions, culminating in a truly bespoke gaming experience where you are the architect of your destiny.

Needs work- Has some hope- good entry level to genre- feels console born: About half an hour in and I have the gist of this game. Not a lot of brain crunching here. If your into this cyber punk genre you've no doubt played this already- Seems very linear am I right? Nice environment.. I guess. Though it wears out quickly with repeated graphics. No key binding options yet. Camera control is ok, better than some others of this genre - you get to tilt the view a bit more in S/U. Story line is drab, predictable, like left overs for dinner. "I've done this already" kind of feeling. Movement is fluid, very fluid. Your character moon walks just like Michael himself. Creepy.. floaty.. Combat is awkward, and though I plan on giving this title some more of my precious game time, I hope they polish this up a bit more. Odd things like a constant and arbitrary chirping as I run my cursor over things.. what things? Things make the cursor chirp right? .. so what item did I miss? Turns out.. nothing, It just chirps as you scan the area. Maps, rooms, corridors, sliding doors, all as square as a Mormon picnic. Yawning I continued onto the the next square. Somehow killed a guy with 3 punches, and he had a pistol at my head.. shot me twice. But I was lucky and it grazed me.. twice. At point blank. Hmmm! guns are more like.. less than lethal.. or my prison jump suite is armored. I took 2 in the back trying to run away like a little b%^# .. (thought I could handle a couple armed baddies w/ my prison shank). Thought I was done.. but nope, just a little off the top. I was belly chuckling through this part.. So really I will go back after a while, give the devs a chance.. but I don't have much hope here. Character progression seems detailed and varied enough. And the loot aspect is cool; kinda what kept me going after the first 10 mins. I just think that getting Colony Ship or Stellar Tactics, heck.. even Cyber Knights would get you more immersion, diversity and yet still be in that genre you love. You'd get more for the money... and I don't even know what they're asking for this one yet. Says something. Yet I give a thumbs up- with hopes the Devs can fix, and newcomers to this style game would find a good entry point here.

Yes, played through the prologue and now buying. Really like the characters and the story. I had a couple of crashes when levelling up tho. Hope its fixed on the pukka version.
Норм игра.
Went by too fast! I can't wait for the full release!
Interessante.
not bad. one dev team.
