I'll start by saying that I NEVER leave reviews. NEVER, EVER. This will actually be my first review. This game has pissed me off so much that I decided it was necessary to leave one. In the current state of this game as of 7/25/26, it is not worth it to play for anyone looking to make a new purchase. Let these "devs" fix this broken ass game first before you hop in. This game is absolutely riddled with bugs. I don't say that lightly at all. It has so many issues and the devs try to fix things and make it worse. Oh and don't get me started on the cheaters. They're in some many of these lobbies! The anti-cheat does not work well after the "anti-cheat" update. You can load into a game, get robbed of all your gear by cheaters before touching down and then get booted back to the lobby because its stuck on a loading screen and you lose all of your gear. Whether that's a cheater's doing, or the game's fault, this represents one of the many ways this game absolutely f#$#'s you and any hard work you put into building a bank. Also, the game is heavily focused on your trampler and having the necessary upgrades for battle. There is no matchmaking based on your trampler upgrades it seems, so you can go up against people with absolute god tier equipment over, and over, and over again. You will most certainly lose these battles despite having better gun skill because of the upgrades on their tramplers and how fast they can rain down fire upon your measly, feeble early game builds. In addition, there is no duo game mode, so if you spawn in with two people you're in a lobby with trios and already at a disadvantage. This aspect is absolutely stupid and frustrating. You can also spawn in with 4 people and go up against 6 man squads and be at a disadvantage every time because the game splits the parties up by "solo", "trio", and (big team battle) "six-man" squads. I should add that there is no way to fill the squad either, so you're on your own if you only have one other person to play with. And, for you Stans out there, I get the whole, early access BS, and I don't care. I'm done with these titles using "early-access" as an excuse for putting out slop while charging for it. Test and patch your damn game. Then, do it again and again, until it's in a very solid state. Do another close-beta or something, I don't care, just do better.
Anyway....Continuing on, this game can, at times, be very slow paced. There is way too much time spent in your binoculars or just standing there while your trampler just drives on or someone drives for you across the map or to a POI or Extract. With that said, when a fight does come your way it can be exhilarating, yet frustrating as hell at the same dam time. Further, Looting is riddled with bugs. One such bug is chests looking unopened yet being empty, or having to crouch to see the loot. It doesn't make sense how you don't fix looting mechanics already, it's such a basic aspect of this game.
With all the negative things I have to say about this bug riddled, underdeveloped game, I will say that it is fun to play, when you get to play it properly. Also, it does have satisfying moments of making it out alive, (after looting a POI), without getting obliterated by a suped up team with every mid-to-late game upgrade you don't have. Finally, I will say, the game has a solid foundation with its mechanics and design, which I do like. I want to love this game, however, this game needs work and it needs frequent updates and patches. Wait to buy and just enjoy watching your favorite streamer play it better than you ever can and ever will.
