Sakura Hime 5

Un épisode qui reprend exactement la formule des précédents : des personnages familiers, une histoire légère et beaucoup de dialogues. Les illustrations sont propres et colorées, dans le style Sakura classique, et l’ambiance reste agréable si tu suis la série depuis le début. Côté gameplay, ça reste très basique : lire, faire quelques choix, avancer l’histoire. Rien de nouveau, mais ça fait le travail pour les fans. Un jeu clairement destiné à ceux qui aiment déjà la saga, pas forcément le meilleur point d’entrée pour les nouveaux.

Sakura Hime 5 is a title that can kill a few minutes while you're waiting for the upcoming Sakura Hime 6. The never-ending copy-paste puzzle saga continues. As per usual, you are served a pretty-looking dish that you have eaten four times already. If you're not suffering from indigestion or boredom from eating the same thing over and over again, then this meal will satiate your hunger. 10 stages of three simple line-forming puzzles, requiring minimal effort to complete, is what you get. The meal can be consumed in less than 30 minutes. Pointless stories sprinkled on top add some barely noticeable flavour to the dish. For those who just want to look at the alluring product, skipping the eating part, you're in luck again. Everything is available from the start, no effort required whatsoever. This alone makes me keep asking: What is the point of the puzzle part? If you're just looking for pretty art, you might as well do an online search; you don't need gameplay to scratch that itch. Maybe you're just happy to pay the artist for their effort. I don't regret the purchase, but I don't think I'll be trying the next serving unless something finally changes. Just like before, the art does not disappoint. The anime models are plump and scrumptious, the animations are simple but well-cooked, and no glitching or clipping occurs. Wish I could see such quality in a different context, vn perhaps. Moreover, the unchanged overall design leaves a good impression. Why fix what ain't broken? However, after five parts, I deem change as more than desirable. This stagnant take on sequel production wore down my patience. Music-wise, similarly to the art, the traditional Japanese tunes you'll hear here serve their role well. It's also a copy-paste approach, as the previous titles shared the same tracks. While good, I can't condone the apparent lack of desire to change anything. Also, more variety would be beneficial. No bugs were encountered. In conclusion, if you still value the artistic lewds over the gameplay elements, despite getting more of the same, then this might be worth considering. I'm done with the series unless some major changes are introduced. Peace and hentai: 4.4/10
