Very good DLC and story... Until Amok. Good way to frustrate your player base. GG This thing disguste me from the game.

Gameplay in this DLC is annoying, to say the least. - many mechanical puzzles which require lots of time to investigate - stupid boss fights - stupid cut scenes with pistols in which the main hero is defeated while having tons of heavy weaponry, armor etc. It's not stalker. It's some puzzle game that tries to be a Half-Life in 2026. Those who decided to invest in level design and development of this DLC should be in jail. I won't play it again.
Well Let's time describe this DLC.
Gameplay
We have with that DLC and new Patch a lot of fixes and little bit new anomaly and few weapons and one new mutant. For my opinion that's not bad, but not so much how I wanted to see but anyway, new part of zone is looks good! New mutant was empty and make sense only in small levels and he useful only in DLC, and I can't imagine on main game and he works so simple, but yeah hard cuz he fast. New anomaly works good and idea is great for using hide. And of course war between Duty and Freedom is back to me in clear sky and I like that idea
When I playing with that system I had problem with clear territory where NPC spawn when I was on position that territory but ok, that's not critical.

Optimization
They're really did well work with optimization and I see how's playable for me now.
Story
In my opinion that's more interesting and logic than main story S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, but anyway I had moment cringe sometimes :/
End.
That's good DLC just good, because I think we need to see more new interesting monsters or back from rare build old stalker like Izlom or something like that. Story like sometimes maybe good sometimes bruh, optimization and bug fix with new patch is good, but I had 2-3 moment when my game just crashed :(. I liked idea with Ghost Town and Tachenko story want to see more some thing like that, with ghost town or horror moments :D
Not bad, but when you eventually get to the CNPP, you might start cursing the devs for how annoying the Flare Anomaly is if all you want to do is explore the area.
Amazing + really fast fix from the devs. Works great on Linux (CachyOS) Got on max settings around 80 fps with my decent machine.
A gift for those who wish the Zone never changed.
Overall It's really great. The DLC gives you some of the most intense and outright evil experience the Zone has to offer - the Iron Forest is very hostile, the Bubble is even more hostile, and the CNPP itself constantly wants to kill you even in places that has no enemies. The Zone was never meant to be friendly. It's not just guns or mutants that kill you, but also the terrain and geometry itself - failing a platforming section is an equal death to being mauled by a burer or getting dismembered in a whirlygig. If you plan on beating a STALKER game - you won't cut it by just shooting well. Do better and don't write your skill issue off as a gamedesign flaw. While this DLC is not a must-buy, (the basegame itself is more than enough to fully experience HoC) it's 100% worth the price and the wait. It offers some of the best-looking setpieces and craziest gameplay segments in the entire series. All in all - Cost of Hope is a massive treat for the oldhead fans that couldn't fully handle the way Zone changed in HoC, and wanted to stick to the old trilogy era tales - Duty, Freedom, CNPP. It accomplished something truly phenomenal by not only making D/F the driving force instead of background noise, but also by making a giant concrete slab (that the CNPP is) an actually engaging and well-executed area.
So is it perfect?
Nah, it wouldn't be STALKER then. There are some bugs, but they will be fixed anyways. The only objective "con" is the blatant overuse of snorks, really. The subjective ones are 1. Some areas feel a bit too restrictive 2. The pacing could be a bit slower. The rest is fantastic.
