S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Cost of Hope

Ending is really disappointing. The rest of the DLC is good. If only it were possible to leave a neutral review.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Cost of Hope is a brilliant addition that reminds us why we fell in love with the Zone in the first place. It hits the perfect balance between tense, unpredictable survival and a deeply immersive story where every choice carries real weight. The visuals are stunning, the atmosphere is deliciously suffocating, and the gameplay feels tighter than ever. GSC Game World nailed the melancholy and danger of this world. ЧАЭС, Железный лес, Лиманск - выполнены великолепно. Патч 2.0 вдохнул вторую жизнь в игру, оптимизация улучшилась в разы, багов стало значительно меньше. Сюжет ДЛС неплох, но действия персонажей чуть ли не каждую катсцену - фейспалм. Да и бесконечная беготня после 100 часов в основной компании откровенно надоела.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? You're telling me its MANDATORY to take 2 energy drinks in this frikking FOG RUN? Aside from being the worst mission in the entire game, you are now asking the players who have a notoriously FULL INVENTORY to make multiple runs for your life? THE DLC IS GARBAGE.

I really enjoyed this, aside from some issues with certain characters and their naivety, which ultimately made me side with Duty over Freedom. Still, it’s probably the highlight of the whole game, especially the Limansk section.
