If minesweeper were interesting
lowkey took me over 6 hours to beat

This experience was both satisfying and humiliating. As in, i got reminded about how dumb i am in some levels. 10/10, would play again
The presentation is very polished, the sound effects are nice and the game is overall elegant and relaxing. Overall, it is a very nice game, and I wish I could wholeheartedly recommend it. But I have one minor gripe that breaks the deal for me: it is way too easy to brute force your way through every puzzle. Let me explain: you have three lives on each puzzle. If you make a mistake, you lose a life, until you run out. Then the puzzle resets. The problem? That you can get relatively far (I got up to level 6) just memorizing the ones you guessed correctly (this is not even hard to do; the shapes are distinct; the colours, saturated; and there are not that many of them). And once you hit a hard one, the temptation to just bulldoze your way through it is strong. Later Fleb games do in fact prevent this issue by making them very difficult to brute force (if you can at all), so I guess we can tack this onto being the author's first foray into gaming of the video variety. I imagine that the author is not really interested in patching a game this old when it works on a technical level, but I think there is one simple way to fix this: randomize the solution. There is the problem that this is a sudoku-like puzzle where you only have partial information and need to make educated guesses, so a naïve randomizer can put you at risk of having unsolvable setups (or setups where you truly don't have enough information). But that would go a long way into removing the brute forcing capacity. That being said, this is a free game. You lose nothing by giving it a whirl and trying to not cheat.
Pretty fun stuff, though i wish there was a sketch function
Gratis puzzel. Leuk bedacht, zeker voor deze prijs. Makkelijk te leren.
