Runic Relay: The Trials is a First Person Platforming game with a focus on Speedrunning. Play as an apprentice wizard who has entered in a competition called “The Trials.” Each trial takes place in a magically constructed dungeon, and consists of a short challenge that you must complete using the tools given to you. These tools include multiple spells, which you can use in tandem with one another to complete tasks that one spell alone might not be able to.
Currently, you can expect to see the following in the Early Access period of Runic Relay:
4 Spells: Fireball, Conduit, Tether, and Shear.
Spells interact with each other for a total of 10 unique effects.
32 Trials to complete as fast as possible.
Targets to shoot, hoops to jump through, gaps to clear, walls to scale, puzzles to solve.
In-game global leaderboard to prove your skill against the world.
Original soundtrack.
More Trials for more running and spell-slinging.
More music tracks.
More unique ways to interact with Trials.
Collectibles to gather.
Secrets to uncover.

Reviews
the game is fun and pretty well made however sometimes spells wont load in but all i have had to do is restart the level otherwise the game has good grafics and is fun to play

Great game! Fun to try and find the quickest path through the levels
At the time I'm writing this review the game is in an early state, but it's already so cool ! A lot of differents levels, with a lot a variety between them. If you like platformer time trial, it should be for you !
Incredibly fun game that can be a bit buggy with certain interactions.
Before I played Runic Relay: The Trials, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
nah
"Runic Relay: The Trials" is an unusual effort that feels like a student project or something, but it's abandoned and incomplete. It was an attempt to make a speedrun platformer but instead of the usual Mirror's Edge parkour ripoff stuff, we're running as a wizard in a trial and casting some spells to help us get to the end as fast as we can. The incomplete and abandoned nature of this project is the key issue that makes this unrecommendable. Once more Steam has been treated as a garbage dump for incomplete amateur stuff. Despite not being in Early Access, it's obvious this is an incomplete product. Developers have an obligation to deliver complete, not partially done products to gamers, that shouldn't be controversial. Whatever the excuses may be, it does no service to gamers for incomplete products polluting Steam like this. It makes it harder for gamers to find complete games, and it makes it harder for ethical developers who do the right thing to find their audience. I'm not sure if this is an asset flip, but it's one of those cases where the assets just look much better than the rest of the quality of the game... a glaring inconsistency. There's no evidence, but as always, the biggest problem with asset flips besides the plagiarism is the deplorably low quality of the other aspects of the game, and even if the game assets are genuinely created for the game, the quality of the rest of the game is indistinguishable from that of asset flips. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 14 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? I think you should give this one a miss. Although it's free, your time and storage are valuable resources, and the market is filled with superior options.
