Romancing The Kingdom

Before I get to the review, know this game has a lot of sexual content. Story/Plot: This game starts in the kingdom of the Amazons, and for the majority of the time you play as Princess Polly. You find out that at the upcoming Spring Celebration, your mother will choose between you and your stepsister as to who will be her heir. You will meet a lot of people, including Captain Jack (occasionally you will take his view point) and go on adventures, both sexual adventures. I'll be honest in that this game scores points for having a mostly female lead where most games don't. The writing for this game isn't the strongest. A lot of it wouldn't be out of place in a porn movie to be honest. I also wish they didn't push the main character into finding Jack attractive so much/desiring his body. If anything, saying a character really loves another is often enough to make the player feel the opposite way. This was the case here. However, you can also reject him and by the end have him out of Polly's life. Visuals: By now if you play enough adult games, you will recognize the rendering program used. Most of the women look fine, but the men could use some work. The backgrounds really aren't that good either, but once again, this is common for other adult games. Gameplay Basically as a visual novel/dating sim, the only game play here is your choices. You can build up a relationship with a few people, while others can lead to simple sex scenes. Occasionally, the perspective will switch to another character, but once again, things boil down to choices made. I will give this credit that even if it pushes the 'attraction to Jack' part, you don't have to sleep with him. There is also a small counter for politics and combat, supposedly to see whether you will inherit the kingdom. I didn't have a problem going with this aspect, especially if you do a save/reload bit. Sound/Music: There weren't many sound effects, and there were only 2-3 royalty free music tracks, but they weren't to bad. I did find the music for the sex scenes as jarring, once again lending the idea of it being a porn film. Difficulty: This game wasn't really difficult, and since it was going for titillation, it didn't have to be. Extras/Achievements: You can rewatch the sex scenes in the gallery when done. There are no achievements with the game. Recommendation: Would I recommend the game? On a personal level, I give a hesitant yes, but mostly because I liked having a female lead, and a lot of lesbian scenes. For other people? If you want a strong narrative, then you should look at other games. If you want something that is a bit more fun, then this might be for you.

I refunded it. 12 minutes was almost 10 too many. "Patricide" is when one kills one's own father. "Regicide" is when one kills the ruling royal. So, how did Polly's father commit "patricide" against the former queen? If Polly is 19, and she "becomes and adult" on her 19th birthday, and if Briley is her YOUNGER "step-sister," then how is she ALSO turning 19 today? When Polly's dad committed "patricide" against the former queen, why was the captain of the royal guard chosen as the successor? Royal positions are usually hereditary. Just look at the inbred goodness that is King Cuck in England and the wannabe boys Why does the queen get to choose which of her completely unrelated house guests is to become the next queen? What are the rules of succession in this "Amazon" culture? Why does "Amazon" seem to be located in northern England or maybe southern Scotland? To 1,000,000,000% of all humans on planet Earth, "Amazons" are a mythical all female society of warrior women in the South American jungles. To the people that try and pretend that it is a reference to the awful DC Wonder Woman movies: NOPE! And, also, since it's almost Christmas, let me take the time to pint out that Jesus did NOT look like a 25 year old Ted Nugent, but he MIGHT have been a dead ringer for a 30 year old USAMA bin-LADEN!!! Do you actually work for Amazon, or just not creative enough to come up with some other name for the culture? Oh, I was wrong. 12 minutes was almost 20 too many!

Unattractive characters, renders, animations and a story does did not grab my attention. Choices in the form of asking from a third person's point of view did not work for me. One example out of many; the princes is trying to find out, if the male she picked for mating, is interested in her, you get this two choices; 1 - Jack says he is a piece of ♥♥♥♥ and cannot be trusted, 2 - Jack says he is solid and will follow her every wish. Who talks or thinks that way? You are male standing with an erection in front of a princess of your dreams and you are going to say you are a piece of ♥♥♥♥ and cannot be trusted? In, short, it wasn't fun and enticing in any way. Price is also high for the quality and the story.

I liked it. The plot is a bit silly but the sex scenes are very good and the game is mostly bug free.

This game is not for everyone and if you are someone that is looking to get off on this story line of a game sorry but your luck will run dry fast here. You get to choose weather or not to play as Jack a captain of Polly a princes then your adventure goes from there. At times the story can be a little cut and dry at times and the music is lets just say I had to listen to something else or I was going to fall asleep while play. There's some animated sexual images and a fare of nudity but I feel the story line could have a little more of a up beat feel to it and not feel like a day to day routine. I've only spent 3 hrs ish playing this only at 30 mins or so at a time just because the story line is so dry at times but there are parts of the story line that is good just not good enough for me to continue playing for a few hrs. I still would say give this game a try and you might like it better as well not find it so cut and dry as much.

Ehrlich gesagt tut es mir schon ein bisschen leid für den Developer, der bestimmt jede Menge Arbeit und vielleicht auch Herzblut in dieses Spiel gesteckt hat. Aber um ehrlich zu sein, mir gefällt es überhaupt nicht. Die weiblichen Protagonistinnen haben zwar hübsche Gesichter und auch einige Kurven zu bieten, sind von der Charakterbildung doch erstaunlich flach. Es ist eine generische Fantasy-Geschichte über Amazonen und dem obligatorischen Stein mit Schwert - und die ersten Spielminuten langweilten mich so sehr, dass ich eine Rückerstattung beantragt habe. Absolut nichts in dieser VN hat mein Interesse geweckt, zwar ist die Hintergrund Musik ganz nett anzuhören, aber der Grafikstil ist nicht mehr Up to Date. Wer weiß, vielleicht bin ich in der Beziehung auch besonders verwöhnt, weil ich gerade gestern das sechste Kapitel von "Chasing Sunsets" gespielt habe, welches mit sehr sympathischen Hauptcharakteren überzeugt (Really likeable characters with stunning facial impressions), an die man sich als Spieler emotional binden kann. Das fehlt hier leider völlig - kann eventuell sein, dass ich auch vorschnell urteile, habe ich doch nur einige Minuten gespielt. Aber wenn man nicht schon am Anfang eingefangen wird, sei es durch Inhalt oder Optik... Ich fühle mich nicht mitgenommen oder abgeholt bei dieser VN - sie weckt einfach nicht mein Interesse. Wie gesagt, vielleicht bin ich schon zu verwöhnt - ich habe ja nun einige Adult VN in meiner Bibliothek. Und ich muss auch leider zugeben, dass ich mittlerweile in ein Alter komme, wo die Sexszenen nicht mehr der Hauptgrund ist, mir diese Spiele zu kaufen - ich lege mittlerweile mehr Wert auf die Handlung und die Geschichten der vorhandenen Charakter, wo ich zugeben muss, dass ich die weiblichen meist auch gerne im unbekleideten Zustand sehen möchte - die Sexszenen an sich allerdings werden meist weggeklickt. Deswegen stört es beispielsweise bei einem Spiel, auf dessen Name ich jetzt nicht komme, auch nicht, dass man fast eine Stunde Spielzeit hinter sich bringen kann, ohne ein Stück nackte Haut zu sehen, weil die Hintergrundgeschichte interessant ist, und man einfach neugierig wird, wie sich die Beziehung zwischen dem MC und seinem Romantic Interest entwickelt. Das trifft hier aber leider weder auf das Eine noch das andere zu. Mir ist es herzlich egal, was passiert oder ob überhaupt etwas passiert. Ich weiß, dass es manchmal Zeit braucht, damit etwas sich entwickeln kann und in Gang kommt. Mir persönlich bietet aber leider dieses Spiel nichts, was mich zu der Annahme verleiten könnte, es wäre noch mehr meiner Zeit wert. Deswegen kann es leider auch keine Empfehlung geben.

游戏的渲染做的不是很好，并不是很精细，CG动画稍微有些僵硬，一共48个CG，需要打三条线路才能收集齐全部，整体来说中规中矩
