A lil bit of a dark detective fun, worth it when on sale.
i say this more like free to play (max 1.99€)
A noir detective story with femme fatales at every corner. The plot is not bad and it has several different endings, so there's a lot to explore if you want to see everything. About the graphics: they're ok, but all the girls look like the same person in one shot or another. The biggest difference between them is the clothing. And everyone smokes a lot.
The game seems like smth unfinished. Some scenes in the gallery are not displayed. Real in game time 2 hours. I can’t say the game is bad, І can’t say the game is good, but there are games much better for this price.

Please play only in good games, if you want I can help you My curator page
Romance After Dark is an adult-focused visual novel developed and published by Lesson of Passion, designed as a compact and intimate experience that blends light relationship mechanics with explicit erotic storytelling. Unlike larger, more narrative-heavy visual novels, this game positions itself as a focused fantasy: one that emphasizes chemistry, seductive scenarios, and direct character interaction over sprawling plots or intricate worldbuilding. It clearly understands its target audience—players seeking a short, steamy romance that unfolds through dialogue choices and atmospheric scenes—and it structures its entire design around delivering that experience without unnecessary complications. The game’s presentation relies heavily on its 2D artwork and mood-driven environments. Character designs are drawn to highlight sensual expression, body language, and romantic tension, ensuring that every conversation or intimate moment carries emotional and erotic weight. Backgrounds and UI elements remain straightforward, keeping the player’s attention on the characters themselves. This minimalistic approach works in the game's favor by reinforcing the focus on interpersonal chemistry rather than distracting from it with elaborate visual effects or complex user interfaces. It also contributes to the game’s accessible tone—anyone familiar with visual novels will immediately understand how to navigate its scenes and choices. Narratively, Romance After Dark revolves around building relationships through conversational choices, with each decision shifting the tone and progression of the romance. The writing aims to capture a blend of flirtation, vulnerability, and erotic escalation. Dialogue sequences frequently serve as gateways to unlock more intimate encounters, and the game encourages the player to consider how each interaction affects the level of trust and attraction between characters. Although the story is not long and the branching paths are relatively contained, it offers enough variation to make the experience feel deliberate and player-driven, especially during the lead-up to the more mature scenes. Gameplay, by design, is intentionally light. Romance After Dark does not attempt to mimic the depth of full-scale dating sims or complex simulation systems. Instead, it uses a streamlined framework: you read, choose, and progress. This simplicity allows the erotic themes and character moments to take center stage. The game’s pacing reflects this approach, moving efficiently from scene to scene, gradually tightening the emotional and sensual tension until it reaches its payoff. For players who enjoy adult-oriented visual novels, the rhythm feels natural—never rushed, never overly padded, and always centered on the emotional connection being formed. However, the same streamlined design that benefits its pacing also limits its breadth. Those seeking a more extensive storyline with multiple endings, long playtime, or deeply branching narratives may find the game’s scope quite modest. Replay value exists, but it is not substantial; once you have experienced the main romantic paths and erotic sequences, there are few surprises left to uncover. Additionally, while the artwork is attractive and the presentation meets the expectations of the genre, it does not reach the level of polish seen in higher-budget or fully animated visual novels. The experience remains functional and appealing for fans of the niche, but it may feel minimalistic to players outside that demographic. Despite its limitations, Romance After Dark succeeds in delivering exactly what it promises: a short, seductive, and immersive adult romance experience. Its focus on intimate character interactions and erotic storytelling gives it a strong sense of identity, and its straightforward mechanics ensure that nothing distracts from its central purpose. It is the kind of game that benefits from its clarity of vision—it knows its audience, understands its genre, and offers a polished version of a compact, sensual fantasy. In the end, Romance After Dark is a worthwhile choice for players who enjoy mature visual novels and want a concise, emotionally charged experience that blends romance and erotica without unnecessary narrative sprawl. It may not appeal to those looking for complexity or length, but within its niche, it stands as a confident and satisfying entry. Rating: 7/10
This is an attempt at a "noir" game. The protagonist is a depressed, nearly suicidal private detective. Pluses:

The music matches the "noir" theme very well.
The art is good
If you are into smoking: almost all the characters smoke
Minuses:

no way to backtrack to review dialog
can save only when the game prompts to save
repetitive.
you can make money but there is nothing to spend it on
I give it a C-. It's OK if you can tolerate the repetitiveness. Wait for it to be on sale.
Love the atmo, dark and gloomy, shame it is so short
Its ok for $8
This has an "okay" story, but the options are seriously limiting in what you can choose with the characters.
