Imagine someone asked you to make a game. You know how to build it, but not how to make it interesting. You've gotta pay the bills, so you take your limited budget and just make the game your boss told you to make, and that's exactly how this game feels.
Everything is okay at best, most of the time, it's generic and boring.
Gameplay is simple and could be fun for a while, but then the number of bullet sponges increases. Even if you're aiming for the head, it takes time. If your aim is bad, let's just say headshots sometimes require more than one mag, so imagine hitting any other body part. The Division looks like instant kills by comparison ;)
Enemy "AI" is nonexistent. You can defeat that big robot from the movie just by standing in front of him with an object in between, and he won't even move towards you. Other times, the AI shoots you through a wall. The game is full of little bugs. It’s playable (aside from a few crashes here and there), but it constantly takes away whatever fun was left.
Graphics are nice, that's the best part, though the lack of a photo mode is criminal. It has that typical UE5 look, which I like. Still, some elements like fire look poor, as if everything else is set to high, but fire is locked to low quality. Character models look good, but their faces are barely animated and look awful.
And then there's the story: "Hi Gemini, write me a story for my single-player game about RoboCop. Don't need anything fancy, make it generic." Predictable, uninteresting, bland, and just completely boring. One mission has you collecting signatures for a get-well card, and another is rescuing a cat from a burning building, twice (ok, cat missions are always nice to see).
I'm surprised to see a positive score. It's hard to find anything positive here that was made by Teyon rather than Epic.
I know it's not a "AAAA" game, but come on. There are plenty of low-budget games that are interesting on every level. This isn't interesting on any, it just is.
