Experience the past and get to know the story of the old diner and its struggling history in this prologue to Road Diner Simulator.
Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. The player count below is how many people own it, not what they spent.
About
The Road Diner prologue tells the story of the very beginning of the old diner on Route 66 before the events of the game Road Diner. Unlike the full game, this is the original old diner before the rebuild and you get to run it for a few days on your own.
On first look the old diner is a well frequented business ran by the original owner. Looking closer however it is struggling. The normal folks, the families and travelling salesmen are in decline and the cook left.
It is up to you to take care of the old diner and making it work while taking a closer look at all aspects of the business and introduce changes in order to improve the situation.

Seat patrons at their tables, take their order, serve coffee, take care of refills and eventually handle the check. And looking after them in between is probably a good idea, too.
Make sure to not overdo it. Too many customers and you might get in trouble serving them in a timely fashion. Nobody likes to wait too long.

Collect empty plates, bring them to the dish washer and clean them. Before doing that, it might be a good idea to wipe the tables and take a look at the floor if nothing has been spilled that might need a clean up. Nobody likes visiting a dirty diner.

Grill multiple grilled dishes and use the stove to cook more regular ones. Maintain control of the orders and special requests and make sure they not only go out to the customers quick, but also in a good quality. Nobody likes undercooked or overcooked food and mistakes made will be reflected in customer satisfaction and tips.

Getting orders, cooking and serving is just a part of your job. There are many more tasks that have to be taken care of in order to run a successful diner. You obviously have to take care of the pantry and make sure you stock all the ingredients and goods you need.
And then there are the less obvious tasks like keeping the diner clean or making sure it remains popular.
Cook a variety of dishes
Serve coffee and refills
Clean tables and floors
Collect and clean dishes
Handle inventory and ingredients
Seat guests, wait on them and handle payment
Don’t make a mess or the cockroaches arrive…

Is anyone else having trouble picking up plates?
I like this kind of relaxing game, but I also hope that Traditional Chinese will be available; I would buy the game if it were available.
I've just played the demo and for the most part I think it could be a really good game when it is fully released. I like the setting and the idea of running a small diner, the cooking was really cool, I like how you restock ingredients and the diner cat is really cute!! I also think being able to rename the seating areas is a good idea. I like the lady running he diner, I hope the full version of the game introduces even more funny characters. However, I really don't like killing roaches. At first I thought you could turn that part of the game off but it just replaces it with the word ROACH which is great for more squeamish players but to be honest I think it would be better if players could decide to completely remove the roach killing part as it doesn't seem to add anything except it being kind of annoying. I do think the roaches is a fun idea but just isn't for everyone. I also feel like the customers ran out of patience a bit too fast. I did enjoy playing the demo and look forward to seeing the full game when it's released - hopefully with an option for no roaches
