About
The Road Diner prologue tells the story of the very beginning of the old diner on Route 66 before the events of the game Road Diner. Unlike the full game, this is the original old diner before the rebuild and you get to run it for a few days on your own.
On first look the old diner is a well frequented business ran by the original owner. Looking closer however it is struggling. The normal folks, the families and travelling salesmen are in decline and the cook left.
It is up to you to take care of the old diner and making it work while taking a closer look at all aspects of the business and introduce changes in order to improve the situation.

Seat patrons at their tables, take their order, serve coffee, take care of refills and eventually handle the check. And looking after them in between is probably a good idea, too.
Make sure to not overdo it. Too many customers and you might get in trouble serving them in a timely fashion. Nobody likes to wait too long.

Collect empty plates, bring them to the dish washer and clean them. Before doing that, it might be a good idea to wipe the tables and take a look at the floor if nothing has been spilled that might need a clean up. Nobody likes visiting a dirty diner.

Grill multiple grilled dishes and use the stove to cook more regular ones. Maintain control of the orders and special requests and make sure they not only go out to the customers quick, but also in a good quality. Nobody likes undercooked or overcooked food and mistakes made will be reflected in customer satisfaction and tips.

Getting orders, cooking and serving is just a part of your job. There are many more tasks that have to be taken care of in order to run a successful diner. You obviously have to take care of the pantry and make sure you stock all the ingredients and goods you need.
And then there are the less obvious tasks like keeping the diner clean or making sure it remains popular.
Cook a variety of dishes
Serve coffee and refills
Clean tables and floors
Collect and clean dishes
Handle inventory and ingredients
Seat guests, wait on them and handle payment
Don’t make a mess or the cockroaches arrive…

I play a lot of simulation games, and honestly, this was one of the worst I’ve tried. The graphics look good, but the overall design and gameplay experience are extremely disappointing. The design team needs to seriously reconsider many of its choices and make major improvements. Dont waste your time time to play this game
I really enjoy your game. It’s a great and fun experience, but I think the game is missing one important thing: Arabic language support. Adding Arabic subtitles or full Arabic localization would make the game much more enjoyable and accessible for Arabic-speaking players. I hope you consider adding Arabic in a future update. Thank you for your hard work!

I like the game, but I don't love the game. I am a fan of Drago and I know they CAN make a great game if they want. So what do they need to do here. Well RESEARCH would of been a good first step. If you guys wanted to make a game about the American Diner, then some real life research should of been a MUST. And with this game, they kind of missed the ball a bit. This is what needs to be fixed (not in any order of priority): 1) The cat eats WAY too much - the cat is more like a pig. Ten bucks for food for a damn cat everyday is insane. 2) The whole cockroach thing is NOT even close to realistic. If a restaurant in the USA had that kind of a roach problem, they would get shut down. This is why ALL restaurants in the USA have a regular exterminator spray their place every month. Simulator = realism just FYI. Might make more sense if you used mice. Then it'd make sense why you got a cat in a restaurant which again just FYI - NO WHERE in the USA that I've EVER seen do restaurants have pets running around openly in their store. Actually pets aren't really allowed inside any businesses (unless they are a trained dog for the blind). 3) Leading customers inside to sit is a VERY annoying and again not even close to a realistic system. In the USA people come inside and wait for a hostess to seat them -OR- people just come in and sit themselves. 3b) Why aren't people driving - you got people who drive and park in Gas Station Sim, why not in this game?? 3c) Almost nobody walks in the USA. We DRIVE - this is why USA buys more autos than anyone else in the world. 4) People in the USA in Diners go to the register and pay at check-out cash registers (always near the door). NOT NOT NOT at the table. If you want to do a Road Diner simulator, then fix this. Also TIPS - people in the USA TIP in restaurants. Now you got tips in your Gas Station sim (which makes no sense actually), but in a restaurant, in the USA, we tip 15% average of cost of meal. 5) People in the USA are WAY more patient than you pretend to make your people in this game are. Firstly, easily half of the people wouldn't complain at all, they would just patiently wait. Realistically only about 1 out of 20 people would behave the way you make everyone in your game behave. Makes me think that none of you from Drago have actually been to the USA before. For a person in the USA to get up and walk out of a restaurant, they would of have to have been treated very horribly. Realistically what happens is people in the USA just don't TIP to show their displeasure with service. 6) Food in your game gets cold WAY too fast. You had this type of issue with another game of yours, food truck simulator, with food spoiling too quickly (even being refrigerated or frozen). Double or triple the time food gets cold. 7) Restaurants are all run with a staff, never one person running around like a crazy-man. Why doesn't the "owner" of the diner not do anything to help you after the tutorial? 8) Fries & Onion Rings - this system is not realistic. In the USA, fries and onion rings (of course in the USA fries outsells onion rings by like 10 to 1). But they are fried, then placed in a heat bin with a heat lamp, then scooped out into the paper cup holders when an order happens, NOT before - reason is because the paper cup holders would become greasy as they sit absorbing the cooking oil. Cooking oil is replaced once to twice a day (depends on use). No problems with the dish washing mini-game, except soap should be replaced after so many dishes (realistic). I personally had no problems with the grill system and find it to be a decent system. I also have no problems with the ordering system - a bit unique, although yes not realistic. After the many, many simulator games where you have to go out to the delivery truck and carry goods back & forth, I like this simpler system more. The layout of the diner is fine also, except it isn't very large in the sitting department. A bit lop-sided. There is usually LOTS more seating. I figured it's an expansion game option thing to grow. Personally I would of had large amount of sitting, but just had broken booths, chairs, etc.. That you'd have to fix/repair/pay as you needed to grow. So basically there are other games similar to this one. Nothing really here to bring me to want to buy it to be honest. A lot of work to do on this game Drago or you are going to flop another game again guys. Good luck!
Just playing the prologue I can tell this will give you a true diner experience. The roaches, the busted grill, the unorganized sort of pantry, and a boss that expects you to do 5 jobs for one paycheck. If you ever had to buss tables or work in a diner/restaurant that should have an F rating but somehow it's still open, then this game is for you. It was fun, but I can easily tell without goals or milestones I would easily get bored of this game.
Such a good game. I have been loving it!, I'm but i am having a issue, i have an order up on my board that wont go away. It's because i think i messed up an order with a side dish, and it just not going away. i do wish that there is little bit more to do. Game runs great
I already love it! Can't wait for the full version to be released, will definitely be buying on day one!
Ooooh boy yay, love getting a demo and trying to play it only for it to soft lock you from progressing at all. 1: The game is unique, kinda, its at least straight forward. 2: Why the actual hell cant I get past the mission 'the improvisation' after serving all the guessed and restarting the game several times already. I have verified the files, started the prologue over again but I keep having to restart the game just to get the plates to work. I cannot progress further than the starting tutorial, cannot reset my progress or do anything beyond run around trying every door and interaction to get some kind of reaction from the lady. I was looking forward to this and now I cant even play the DEMO that released today less that a few hours ago.
It shows the play loop nicely. Not much to do and not very long, but it plays pretty good. I like it.
I've just played the demo and for the most part I think it could be a really good game when it is fully released. I like the setting and the idea of running a small diner, the cooking was really cool, I like how you restock ingredients and the diner cat is really cute!! I also think being able to rename the seating areas is a good idea. I like the lady running he diner, I hope the full version of the game introduces even more funny characters. However, I really don't like killing roaches. At first I thought you could turn that part of the game off but it just replaces it with the word ROACH which is great for more squeamish players but to be honest I think it would be better if players could decide to completely remove the roach killing part as it doesn't seem to add anything except it being kind of annoying. I do think the roaches is a fun idea but just isn't for everyone. I also feel like the customers ran out of patience a bit too fast. I did enjoy playing the demo and look forward to seeing the full game when it's released - hopefully with an option for no roaches
