Experience the past and get to know the story of the old diner and its struggling history in this prologue to Road Diner Simulator.
Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. The player count below is how many people own it, not what they spent.
About
The Road Diner prologue tells the story of the very beginning of the old diner on Route 66 before the events of the game Road Diner. Unlike the full game, this is the original old diner before the rebuild and you get to run it for a few days on your own.
On first look the old diner is a well frequented business ran by the original owner. Looking closer however it is struggling. The normal folks, the families and travelling salesmen are in decline and the cook left.
It is up to you to take care of the old diner and making it work while taking a closer look at all aspects of the business and introduce changes in order to improve the situation.

Seat patrons at their tables, take their order, serve coffee, take care of refills and eventually handle the check. And looking after them in between is probably a good idea, too.
Make sure to not overdo it. Too many customers and you might get in trouble serving them in a timely fashion. Nobody likes to wait too long.

Collect empty plates, bring them to the dish washer and clean them. Before doing that, it might be a good idea to wipe the tables and take a look at the floor if nothing has been spilled that might need a clean up. Nobody likes visiting a dirty diner.

Grill multiple grilled dishes and use the stove to cook more regular ones. Maintain control of the orders and special requests and make sure they not only go out to the customers quick, but also in a good quality. Nobody likes undercooked or overcooked food and mistakes made will be reflected in customer satisfaction and tips.

Getting orders, cooking and serving is just a part of your job. There are many more tasks that have to be taken care of in order to run a successful diner. You obviously have to take care of the pantry and make sure you stock all the ingredients and goods you need.
And then there are the less obvious tasks like keeping the diner clean or making sure it remains popular.
Cook a variety of dishes
Serve coffee and refills
Clean tables and floors

Handle inventory and ingredients

I like the concept of the game! It was a new type of simulator game to me and I enjoyed it very much! Especially the cooking style, pretty cool! I can't wait for full game to come out.

This was actually fun, kinda excited for the full game. Please make coffee bags not disappear as quick, was having to buy full coffee stock twice a day, kind of annoying.
Very good for the Prolog cant wait to see the main game!
2 hours in and I would recommend! Positives: - It's easy to understand how to play. - There's a funny back story that can be built upon - The cooking mechanics are simple and the food cooks fast. - Restocking adds realism. - Customers eat fast enough - Customers actually look at a menu and then you can only take their order once they're ready. Room for improvement: - When I initially loaded the game, I could use AWSD to move, but my mouse would not move. I had to switch to xbox controller to be able to play. Probably a bug. - Sometimes 2 people that arrive together would not sit at a table with 2 seats. Also probably a bug. - I'm not a fan of the roaches; they're just annoying. Could add an exterminator we can hire. - The customers do get impatient pretty quickly, might not be a big deal when we can hire more employees. - It would be nice to have more room to store already fried food items. Will be back to play the demo/full game!
we need chinese!!!
公路餐馆烟火忙,一人撑起满堂香♥
heel leuk
really good game 10/10
Very nice! Also very short. I hope DRAGO entertainment is much further along the development of the full game. It was a bit difficult to clearly figure out which order on my tray was for which table. I hope they will add some visual hints in the full game so I don't end up staring blankly at my notepad and tray while the customers get impatient.
