River Attack

Good game that reminded the old River Raid of Atari, however with extra features.

Good game. I liked it. I remembered when I was a kid and played that kind of game.

This game appears to be a tribute to the classic Activision game, River Raid. Unfortunately, in trying to modernize the game with added features like a health bar, collectibles, bullet-hell, and side-scrolling, it loses everything that made Carol Shaw's classic clever and fun. The original game challenged you to survive a gauntlet of ships and planes timed to collide with your plane while you could only bank left-right, speed up, slow down, and shoot one missile at a time, and you could only refuel flying over a tank and lingering as long as possible. The original design was brilliant, unique, and never replicated. The new features make it the same as any other "modern" bullet-hell game with a mediocre implementation, and some backstory scenes that only made me cringe. Instead, I recommend the original Atari emulation, or better yet the Atari 8-bit port that has improved scenery.

Jogo bem simples e bem viciante. Foi feito com bastante cuidado, com uma boa diversidade de inimigos e formas deles agirem. Cada inimigo é único e bem produzido. O jogo é bem curto ainda, mas creio que vai expandir bastante ainda, vale a pena pelo preço e o fator replay do jogo é bem grande por ele ser um jogo curto. Espero que gostem bastante do jogo pois ele é muito bem feito. As músicas são bem legais e os gráficos são bons para a proposta do jogo, o chefe dessa versão é difícil caso você não tenha evoluído direito sua aeronave, mas nada que treinar um pouco não resolva.

Nice sound track and cool visual effects. The control is really intuitive and the game is challenging, which is awesome. It's a fun game to play, I recommend it! I really liked this game, it's very challenging, but it gets better as I evolve the ship. The animation of the ship is very beautiful to see, I think it is a strong point and the soundtrack is also very cool.

It's River Raid? Said no one ever! I like that, but it's a little hardcore for me. The colorful is a good and different another games. Very fun for a SHMUP.
