Junk games
Developed and published by Twilight Sonata Studio, Rich Girls is a casual board game that blends property management, light strategy, and anime-inspired presentation into a surprisingly enjoyable package. Drawing inspiration from traditional real estate board games, it places players in a competition where building wealth, purchasing valuable properties, and making smart financial decisions are the primary objectives. Rather than focusing on deep simulation or complex economics, the game embraces accessibility, delivering a fast-paced experience that combines luck, tactical choices, and collectible character content. The gameplay revolves around moving across various boards through dice rolls while acquiring land, collecting income, triggering random events, and using special cards to gain an advantage over opponents. Every match introduces opportunities to expand your holdings while attempting to slow down rival players through clever positioning and timely decisions. Although chance inevitably influences the outcome, there is enough strategic depth in selecting investments and managing resources to reward players who think several turns ahead. The combination of randomness and planning creates matches that remain entertaining without becoming overly complicated. Rich Girls also introduces multiple playable stages and different gameplay scenarios that help prevent repetition. Random events frequently alter the flow of each session, encouraging players to adjust their strategies instead of relying on a single winning formula. While experienced strategy fans may eventually recognize recurring patterns, the variety of board layouts, event cards, and property management decisions provides enough diversity to keep casual players engaged over numerous playthroughs. One of the game's strongest features is its visual presentation. The anime-style artwork is colorful and expressive, giving each character a distinct personality while maintaining a polished overall aesthetic. Fans of Twilight Sonata Studio's previous titles will appreciate the inclusion of familiar characters from Landlord Girls and Pinball Girls, serving as enjoyable crossover appearances that connect the developer's games into a shared universe. Although animations remain fairly simple, the attractive character illustrations and vibrant interface successfully establish the game's lighthearted atmosphere. The soundtrack complements the gameplay with cheerful background music that matches the relaxed pacing of each board game session. Sound effects provide satisfying feedback during movement, property purchases, and various in-game events, helping every successful investment or unexpected twist feel rewarding. While the audio selection is not particularly extensive, it consistently supports the game's casual tone without becoming repetitive or distracting during longer matches. In addition to its strategy mechanics, Rich Girls includes mature-themed content intended exclusively for adult audiences. Unlockable illustrations and suggestive character artwork serve as additional incentives for progression, though they remain separate from the core board game mechanics. Players interested primarily in strategic gameplay can still enjoy the economic competition, but the adult content is undeniably an important aspect of the overall package and should be considered before purchasing. Despite its enjoyable concept, the game is not without flaws. The heavy reliance on dice rolls means that even well-planned strategies can sometimes be overturned by bad luck, which may frustrate players seeking a more skill-driven experience. The computer-controlled opponents offer reasonable competition for newcomers but rarely provide a significant challenge for veterans of strategy or board games. Likewise, the overall production values remain modest, reflecting the game's independent development rather than the polish of larger commercial releases. Even with these shortcomings, Rich Girls succeeds in delivering an entertaining blend of casual strategy, board game mechanics, and anime-inspired fan service. Its straightforward gameplay, accessible design, and replayable board matches make it easy to recommend to players looking for a relaxing title that balances light tactical decision-making with colorful presentation. While it may not satisfy those searching for a deeply strategic simulation or a narrative-heavy experience, it accomplishes exactly what it sets out to do by providing a fun and approachable board game that offers plenty of personality and replay value.
Rich Girls is a Monopoly-style game with anime ladies to admire. Is throwing a die fun enough for you? This title is the 3rd game on Steam from Twilight Sonata Studio, and it is also another puzzle-like creation. As mentioned above, you're presented with a Monopoly-based type of gameplay. You circle around a series of fields, picking up cards and buying properties. You compete against one of the ladies on every stage. Initially, you possess 100,000 gold/influence, and the winning condition requires you to clean the opponent's account. Once either you or the rival end up with 0 the battle is over. Just like in the Monopoly, you can buy or upgrade properties(bank or company) on any empty field. Stepping on property owned by the rival transfers some of the gold into the opponent's account. You can also lose or gain gold from cards you draw every turn, or from certain character skills. Now, there are eight stages total, four of which present you with card-based 'currency' and four with gold-backed purchasing power. The first four are of the card-based variety. You purchase everything with cards matching the colour of the field you land on. Also, all cards enforce certain actions or provide certain benefits activated during specific moments. The gold-based stages are simpler, as they limit everything to gold utilisation, and there are no skills to use. Before you start any stage, you can open the shop window, where you can choose two skills to equip and later use during the stages. All skills have a limit of three uses. One issue I need to mention is the absence of English translation of some parts(mainly instructions). Moreover, the quality of the translation is relatively bad. You should be able to understand enough to proceed, but some guessing is necessary at times to figure out what is going on(card effects, properties). That is the general description of what you can experience playing this game. I can honestly say that, despite the seemingly biased(in your favor) gameplay, I enjoyed this game more than not. Still, this title is not for everyone, so check the shop window before you decide. The visual aspects of this budget title are decent enough. The presentation and the overall design are clean and functional. The anime waifus are easy on the eyes, and if you played any other game from this dev, they might be familiar to you. During the stages, they possess a cute chibi form, and in the gallery(special) you can ogle each in full glory. All reward scenes contain some limited interactions and stripping options. Overall, good quality at this price point. As for the music, there are 11 tracks present here. What you can hear here are mostly calm, instrumental Chinese-inspired tunes, but one or two songs can be heard as well. There is also a music gallery where you can enjoy every track. The sound effects are decent too. It's not too bad considering the price. No bugs were encountered. To conclude, this title offers simple Monopoly-like gameplay, with a casual level of challenge. Both audio and visuals are more than ok. If you enjoy similar puzzle titles, and/or enjoy some simple hentai, then this game is worth considering, even when not on sale: 5.3/10
I bought this adult game but got so caught up its bizarre Monopoly twist that I completely forgot about the adult content. Honestly, it's the weirdest Monopoly game I’ve ever played. In classic Monopoly, you roll dice, buy properties, upgrade them to charge rent, and win by bankrupting your opponent. But not in here. Instead, each turn gives you a random card. If you use it, you can’t roll the dice. If you do roll and land on an empty space, nothing happens unless you click some questionable buttons. Turns out you have to sacrifice 1–2 cards to build either an office or a bank. There’s no land purchase step at all, and only two types of buildings with zero explanation of what they actually do. If you don’t have enough cards, too bad, wait for your next turn. Here’s the kicker: there’s no money used in this Monopoly game. Instead, both you and your opponent have health bars. Even stranger, landing on your opponent’s property doesn’t cost you anything, only certain spaces deal damage, for reasons I still can’t figure out. I tried to make sense of it, but then I ran into what seemed like a glitch: the game let me roll two dice, but then moved me a random number of spaces anyway. While I randomly clicked a pink button, I was suddenly told I’d won and was moving to the next level. The next level looked exactly the same as the last one. After clicking that button 7 times, I beat the game. And only after beating it did I remember why I bought this game in the first place. Turns out the adult content I was expecting is locked behind a DLC I don’t own. What a game. My curator page
