VERY bare bones in its current state for the hefty 20 dollar price tag.
I am absolutely impressed by this program. This is exactly as the title suggests. It is a revolutionary virtual playspace. There is a plethora of assets for full customization, and the map editor is just brilliant. I am shocked that one guy, and his musically talented friend, managed to create this. They succeeded where so many CRPG's missed the mark. This is worth so much more than $20. I'll be tranferring my D&D 5e game from roll20 to this platform, while still using roll20 for skill checks and spells descriptions. Thanks to the user friendly UI, that will be easily done. The few parts that are rough around the edges are clearly marked for later improvement, and the tooltips are precisely helpful. I plan on purchasing copies for all of my players, so that they can join in on this platform. I look forward to sharing modules and playing games with new people through this innovative tabletop RPG toolbox. My desire for a 3D virtual environment to make my fantasy world in is more than satisfied. Mike McDonald and Nathan Thurston are heroes.

Thought this would be a bit more polished than what I paid for...its still ♥♥♥♥. Abandonware - DO NOT BUY THIS CRAP.
Have been using this for about a week now., Have made a few maps and plan to run some shadowrun games with my regular group if they pony up the coin to buy this great piece of software. It is early days in development but it is still great to use. I also use Roll20, but the richness i can make in to a map on here is just mind blowing. Really like the software, its fun to use and create with, so far i only used the map editor. Am looking forward to community made content! I simply love this, buy it if you are considering it, if you are on the fence take the plunge, i found it to be a great price @ $20
A game with huge potential, a great core idea and a wealth of content sadly marred to unplayable levels by the sheer unusability of the interface. I would adore to see this tabletop become something playable, as with some better UI design and quality of life improvements it could become the best tabletop environment available, with a terrain creation system and features such as particle effects and populated loot boxes. Sadly at this stage due to the lack of uability, quality of life options and poor UI it is actually quicker and easier to make a battleground in any other tablwetop software (and some quick & dirty 3d modelling suites) than to build something playable using this tool. I really hope the tool can live up to it's potential but as of the time of writing I cannot recommend it and would advise waiting until it has been updated to become usable. And to the developers, I know UI and QoL devving is the most tedious and boring part of development, but it really does make the difference between a classic and a steaming pile, and that goes double when developing a creation tool.
Excellent work in progress. Developer is constantly adding new props/minis for free which makes me rate it above most if not all virutal tabletops out there. 8/10
Enjoying the simplicity of the program and the amout of assets included. Looking forward to the complete version.
Last three "Updates" as of writing this were 3 Discount announcements.
Revolution : Virtual Playspace is an incredibly useful tool that is relatively easy to learn (at least the mapping part), and really fun to use! It has allowed me to lay out scenarios for my friends and I to play while also allowing me to physically create worlds in order to better understand them. I've truly enjoyed my time with this virtual playspace, and I can't wait to see what the developers bring out next! I think what I love most about it is that you can create almost anything you like using their extensive set of assets and models! It allows you to create something unique each time, and therefore creates a much more exciting experience for you and your friends! Not only can you create interesting scenes, but you can also fully customize rule sets, quests, characters + monsters, items, loot spawns, purchaseable items in specific stores, and even conversation! It's fantastic because if you don't want to take the lore/rules of another RPG, or you don't necessarily know much about said lore/rules, you can simply create your own! This part of the editor is a little more tricky, and would definitely require a bit more time to learn how to use it - but from what I've seen it is pretty clear and concise about how you go about doing things. Overall I have really enjoyed using this virtual playspace! The only gripe I have with it is that I don't really know how multiplayer works. You need to open ports in order to host games, which is a problem for me because I am using my university wifi, and therefore don't have access to any of the information I'd need to open ports. Hopefully in the future they make it more accessible so I can show off some of my works! This game has taught me to think of the little details, and also take a little pride and excitement in the things I've made. ###
