中規中矩的大型機臺遊戲 人物魔法很有趣 不過打Boss時不能用 斜向有點難對準 人物掛掉不像另一款Retro Classix: Wizard Fire會噴出道具 預設按鍵有點奇特 不過和Retro Classix: Wizard Fire比起來已經算移植的很不錯了

Very simple but fun beat 'em up from Data East. The last level of the game has a good bit of slow down due to the amount of enemies on screen.

Gate of Doom is my favorite arcade game from the 90’s that’s on steam. This game was designed to last longer per quarter (on coin operated arcade machines from the 90’s) but to get to the end it took a bunch of quarters to win no matter how good you were. Fortunately the Steam version has unlimited free starts and continues once you’ve paid for the game. This is a good port of Gate of Doom in my opinion.

I don't understand why this game is getting so many good reviews. Its a mediocre port of a bad game. The later areas in the game throws so many monsters at you that the frame rate slows to a crawl. A lot of the bosses are so unfair that you are better off loading credits and throwing yourself at them than actually trying to memorize boss patterns. The soundtrack gets a little annoying. And even though there are 4 characters, the wizard is so much better than the other 3 that they almost feel like a joke. Also, even if you are using controller, you will need the keyboard to continue and enter credits. Unless you have nostalgia for this, you are going to have a bad time.
