How fast this game is gaining ratings — the activity signal available where a store publishes no sales or install numbers.
Measured from our own daily snapshots, not reported by the store. Deliberately not converted into sales: a one-tap rating's ratio to copies sold is unknown on this platform, and guessing it would be worse than leaving it out.

Limited choices ruins it It would be so much fun if you actually had access to even just half of the items. But it limits what you can buy and use, and just makes it frustrating. I deleted it after two days.

Boring and frustrating Beige…is what rules here. This app has nothing to do with good design, and it’s only gotten worse over time. The voting system is producing the opposite, and the ugliest are dominating the votes, like an unfortunate parody of beautiful creation. Regardless of what part of this earth you occupy, the guest submissions will win or all beige. The entire endeavor is a frustration of creativity to get you to buy. You can already have earned thousands of items in your inventory, but you can’t access them. Instead, you’re limited to the ugliest, mismatched “preselected items” as per insipid bougie themes (like The Country Club and you’re supposed to dress dogs…yes, dogs wearing Chanel scarves…eyeroll). There are “levels” you can buy into, cartoonish coloring book level pages of “fashion plates” with 2-d Barbie-like images with Revlon corporate branded cosmetic promos (eyeroll) you can color them in with. Honestly no better than old school coloring books with “preselected” colors that usually have no design relationship to the instructions or each other. Each coloring page/design template is governed by “brief/stories” aka instructions no one pays attention to, most promoting the top 1% of the global monetary acquisition demographic. The scene graphics (including those you pay for) are repeats regardless of the current theme so there’s really nothing new happening here except frustrating your creativity so you spend real $$ to get inventory that matches, or you create the ugliest mess because you don’t spend $$ and can’t access your earned inventory laying waste in the locked cloud storage to create something really beautiful. You can play for free but the only way is through a disjointed “voting” system in which other players rate your efforts (with no guidance about the initial instructions you were required to follow), most of whom could care less about what they’re voting on beyond the free points they get, so it’s more like random scrolling to get to the points than decorating aptitude or good taste. This app isn’t about good design, creative growth, or even following the directions for each assignment. It’s just an increasingly garish cash grab.
White out I have been playing this game for years, quite literally. I am obsessed with it. For the most part I felt like that challenges promoted creativity. But recently, the devs made a change that allowed the use of plain white or beige items to be used during special challenges that before you needed to use special collections to complete. As a result, EVERYONE, even those in the top leagues who have unlocked all the collections, are just using the plain white and beige for everything all the time. Knowing the history of modern home design and all white design, especially in my country, I’m just sickened to be honest. It’s like the devs are encouraging a white out. I already got used to people voting darker skin tones low (racists) but now I can’t win using the collections I worked so hard to unlock over the past 6 years? TF? If this continues I will not be renewing my subscription.
Good and bad. Updated **** I appreciate the developer responding to me and at the beginning of this new season I have noticed that things are changing when it comes to the color scheme. I am seeing that voting is changing due to this. I’m just hoping it continues so I have moved my rating up to a four star instead of a three. It is a fun game to play. It is very pricey though. And if you’re playing to win, it’s going to be difficult. Following the directions of each challenge will not see you win anything. It is more based on what the voters like instead of anybody reading anything. If you like using bright colors or going with the original theme that was mentioned again, you will not receive high votes. The themes are enjoyable and they really are some very pretty looks you can put together. So those are the pros and cons.
AI use I have very much enjoyed this game, but as every month goes on and every theme is revealed, the use of AI just gets worse. Lost my respect for the game.
Bad designs win over excellent ones It’s getting absolutely ridiculous! I’m fighting a loosing battle. They’ve made it so difficult to get enough coins to play and one of the reasons is non cohesive designs winning. Some look like a three year is playing. This game involves using real money to get ahead. Why am I spending all this money to create a good design to lose to one that doesn’t even make sense. I’ve been playing for 5 years now. Back in the beginning we had to work hard to learn how to create beautiful designs to win. Now it’s a free for all. Instead of realistic or gorgeous out of the box designs winning the one that wins has gaudy bright green furniture and nothing is cohesive! I’m tired of this. This game could be #1 if they weren’t so greedy. Prices of inventory continue to rise. Our rewards are getting smaller. Nothing is fair. They say they have real time voting but I’ve read too many articles about Redecor using AI in so call voting. How can it be real time voting within only 10 minutes. It used to be hours. Yes I want to just quit but I have so much invested in this game it’s heartbreaking to even consider. If they don’t change and start rewarding us veterans dedicated to this game who create cohesive gorgeous designs then one day another company will create a better Home Design app and when that happens I’m gone! I’m tired of the casino type games they have too.
Not worth it anymore I used to LOVE this game/app but the challenges have gotten pretty wack. Some challenges aren’t even of homes. Also too many ads and the prices of things don’t make sense. It used to be easy to rack up points now they want to you buy everything.
Amazing! Such a cool app! When I first got it I automatically fell in love with it, and now I am obsessed! Absolutely satisfied with the quality and overall functionality of the game, very modern and up to date on current trends in interior design. My only complaint thus far has been with the “pricing” of certain items that are available. Tokens are rare and barely get you very far with materials that you may want.
