Before I played Recursive Hate, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
theres a bug where you go into the grey void and the you go up a corner then the spiders [witch are ai spider s] will just stay there and thats how to make the spiders glich the hell out
I do not recommend this because: 1) Makes you wait twice before even playing. a long wait ALONE in a SINGLE PLAYER Party, and once again for the pre-raid prep; WHICH IS NOTHING AT ALL. 2) Spiders can fling off of eachother like that one Zelda Breath of the wild glitch using hit-boxes. Issue? They never added killzones, or respawns so that any sporadic behavior can be corrected. Basic gaming concept here got missed. 3) Reflecting on #1, Multiplayer coming soon, but you still have to wait? right... no thanks. 4) Baby spiders OP. way to OP and have no value. 5) Audio options don't work at all. ------------------------- If they focus on being serious, and don't aim for a Goofy Spider Shooter, they could actually get something intense going. It has a lot of potential, and they could expand, add more enlarged creatures, mechanics. Think big, start small, work hard.

As a fan of all things spiders. I need this game to be more then is, I know it free so won't complain. Looking forward to seeing what this turns into.
The game is great, it keeps crashing for me at random but it's still great, looking forward to seeing what this game becomes. :)
This is an awesome game. there are some aspect that I wish could be better though. Such as, when you buy a gun, it should be unlocked permanantly, I understand not being able to carry them all at once, but if I'm spending 5k on the gernade launcher, then I want to buy the flamethrower for 4.5k only to have it replace it, then if i don;t like it I have to spend andother 5k to get the gernade launcher back, it seems like a waste. oo, and more levels, always. other than that, I would say that this game is a great game, no story line, but a great concept game nonetheless. definitely would recommend to people that have fears of spiders. The fact that they are massive and you get to shoot them with guns is freaking awesome. 7/10 great wave survival game, would recommend.
This game is actually pretty high quality. and terrifying because of the spiders, my body gets all tingly within an instance of playing this game. but does have potential if they added more maps and more spiders
Recursive Hate lives up to its promise of being a Spider Hell. The only question is, whether its is trip to hell worth experiencing? Fighting Spiders is the only unique and interesting element of the game. If you dig the premise, than the game can potentially be fun for a couple of minutes or a small amount of hours. The Spiders animations and sound effects are actually done quite well and will allow you to live out your wildest exterminator fantasies. If you shoot the corpses of the bigger spiders, than smaller spiders will come out of them and try to attack you as a collective. This is actually kind of cool to watch. It is however important to keep in mind, that the Spiders function in exactly the same way as Zombies in any Zombie Horde based game. You fight increasing amounts of them every wave and can purchase better weapons or health items inbetween rounds. Recursive Hate is a Third-Person Shooter and uses a simple base Unreal game engine without any noticeable adjustments, which reminded me a lot of games like Fractal Fury. Movement and gunplay therefore feel very similar (both okay, but nothing impressive). It even comes with the same issues, like the unchangeable sound settings. The main game mode is Spider Hell, in which you fight the waves of Spiders. You can either fight a set amount of waves (5, 10 etc) or take the unlimited approach. There are only two maps, from which one is a small town and the other is just grey platforms in the sky. The first one fits the well, the second one is very lackluster. A PVP mode was planned, but doesn't seem to be releasing anymore. A Coop mode would have also been nice, but nothing seems to be planned in that direction. There is only a Bonus mode available in the form of Bunny Massacre. Playmates are running around in this mode and the player can either kill them or order spiders to attack and eat them. Bunny Massacre is good for a few laughs, but it isn't much more than a Meme and therefore lacks any kind of longevity. Result: If you ever wanted to kill large amounts of Spiders, than Recursive Hate is going to be the game for you. Apart from the Spider Twist however it doesn't really has anything to offer. It is fun to try out for a while, even if you hate spiders, or maybe especially than, but don't expect to be entertained for longer than an hour. 5/10
Movement and animations through out the entire game are pretty solid and sound design isn't bad at all. The baby spiders crawling over everything is pretty fantastic, But when I played through the survival mode up to round 10 I eventually just got bored. Unfortunately thats all this game has going so far but there is potential.
The game is perfect to cure boredom and the waves are all well done, but theres one thing thast annoys me. The waiting time. It could be a little shorter and I hope to see multiplayer soon!
