Warning: Asset Flip!
The Celtos is an asset flip, what Valve calls a "fake game". The "developer" (also called The Celtos) took the Official Intersect Assets Pack game asset pack from the real developers, Ascention Gamedev, changed the name, changed a few things, and dumped the result onto Steam. They're attempting to scam people into buying this, so they can get your money for someone else's work. The products that result from asset flips aren't "real" games. They lack depth and content, because they're just simplistic copies of demos or tutorials. In this case, "Official Intersect Assets Pack" is just a simple game engine and asset pack for doing a 2D retro pixel RPG, and doesn't have any merit as a proper, fully fledged PC game, so a copy+paste of it can't be recommended. It's not even a great asset pack, with 2D retro pixel "art" used instead of proper graphics, and the developer was so hamfisted they couldn't manage to properly launch this as a non-English game... while it says there's English support for the game, there isn't, it's all in badly mangled Portuguese. Here's the process for launching a non-English game on Steam: https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/store/localization The developer was so lazy doing this asset flip scam, they didn't even bother to read how to launch games properly, what a joke! And this is definitely a cash grab scam... the Brazilian developer is charging a whopping $10 USD for someone else's free asset pack. Wow. I mean, kudos to Brazil for stepping up and not letting Russians be the only ones running scams on Steam. Asset flips don't involve any professional game development. Sure, sometimes they may change a few cosmetic things, swap out different assets etc, but at heart it's functionally identical to the asset they're ripping off. Asset flips like this are harmful to the gaming industry and to Steam because they reduce the visibility that sincerely made indie games should have, and make it harder for gamers to find real games from genuine developers. Don't reward this morally bankrupt, unethical behaviour from The Celtos.
Developer Response!
The developer has weighed in to inform everyone they didn't read the Developer Usage Rules for Steam "partners", or they deliberately ignored the part where Valve says:
Though it may be tempting, not every review needs to be responded to. A developer response will frequently draw more attention than the original statement, potentially turning a small issue into a much larger community discussion. It's also not a good idea to use this feature to refute customer opinions. Your direct attention can be seen as validation or a defensive attempt to silence your customers.
The developer admits this is an asset flip, and then insists it's not an asset flip if you don't pay for the assets... right. The developer then says income from the game is spent paying artists, then also insists that they're the only person working on the game. After previously mentioning the assets were free. Multiple personality disorder, perhaps? The developer has both acknowledged asset flips and also denied it. This kind of incoherence, as well as the terrible decision to try making a video game without talented staff, artists, game designers, and a proper budget all go a long way to explaining this nightmare dumpster fire pretending to be a game, but it doesn't excuse it. The developer bizarrely insists that the more inadequately budgeted a game is, the more incompetently made, the more value there is in it and the more justified it is for the game to have an unrealistic price. That's straight from bizarro-world. Unfortunately for the failed developer here, the opposite is true... goods with high production values are worth more than asset flipped amateur trash. The developer claims my review is "untrue", this is a lie intended to discredit a valid and factual review. The game is asset flipped, copied + pasted, and features lazy, obsolete 2D retro pixel "art" instead of proper, contemporary video game graphics. All things the developer, in this pointless, rambling, self-contradictory response confirms at various points. These quality issues are important for gamers to know about. Because of these quality problems, the game is unrecommendable. Reviews are about games, not developers, even if they act unethically or dishonestly, take the work of others and claim it as their own, or attempt to mislead gamers. What matters here is that The Celtos is a terrible game, badly made, with no value to gamers. But don't take my word for it. The court of public opinion has already spoken. SteamDB clearly shows the peak user count for this flop was 52 concurrent players... out of 12 million gamers on Steam. And that only happened once, when the game launched. SteamDB shows that only one person logs onto the game, only briefly, once or twice a week, and that's been the pattern for months. The game is dead, completely rejected by gamers. Long before I wrote a factual review outlining the numerous defects in this asset flipped $10 USD cash grab.

Bom vamos lá, irei falar sobre esse maravilhoso jogo: É um jogo divertido, é o mesmo estilo clássico igual ao Tibia. pvp divertido, grinding é divertido e não tem nada melhor do q fazer uma dg com os amigos. Celtos é o unico desenvolvedor e ADM do game, ele é sempre atencioso com o público no geral, sempre ouvindo as críticas e reclamações e tentando melhorar sempre o jogo.
Before I played The Celtos, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
Jogo muito bem desenvolvido.
This game does have English, but the smol UI makes my eyes bleed
Jogo ainda em construção porém bem bacana e divertido.
Joguinho muito top, to a uns 15 dias jogando e to curtindo bastante
the game at its core is mechanicaly decent, its not good but also not bad. However you cant zoom in and the screen resulutions are well... not the best to say the least. The story is very forgeteble and the art style is the most generic pixel art i can think of. overall a very boring and forgeteble expreience. however there is potencial that could take this game from Meh to Decent. final score... 4/10 just below avrage and with alot of problems
