"Ragdoll Rumble" is a laughably bad online PvP game where the developer couldn't work out how to do online multiplayer so you need to use splitscreen and remote play together. That's already a poke in the eye for gamers, but it gets worse. The game has no content, it's PvP only, and you have to jump through all these hoops just to play... and when you do, you discover it's just garbage. Apparently a student project from QUT in Australia, this garbage is so badly assembled... I mean, the screenshots say it all, the graphics were done in the space of 2 hours, and then $100 was spent to dump this on Steam. For free? No, this is not free, the developer seriously, delusionally is asking for money for this. The "game" here, such as it is, is of a pretty low technical standard. The implementation is basic, minmimum effort stuff, more like a 'weekend project' rather than a commercial/professional product... it's bad even compared to most amateur made games. An experimental piece... and the experiment is "can I spend $100 on Steam Direct and then call myself a game dev?" While that $100 spend on Steam Direct probably made the developers feel good about themselves, we have to ask why this kind of thing is good for gamers. The graphics aren't great, seriously low poly garbage, like I said. That's understandably a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. The developer has their hand out for a $8 USD "donation" for this as you're expected to give them money for soundtrack DLC (that's already in the game) from Steam to "support" the "developer"... digital panhandling. Like the homeless guys who splash dirty water on your windscreen at the traffic lights. No thanks. In terms of public reception, this failed to appeal to the 130 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at just a dozen or so concurrent players, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. Since free games don't contribute to your game collector badge and other profile stuff, is this a worthwhile addition to your Steam library? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.

so fun peak gibe more pls
