This game is so much fun! If you love the lore from Cthulhu then R'lyeh is the game for you! It's made by a single developer so the fact that it's this good already is so impressive! It's all about exploration, discoveries, and more. You explore the islands and the further you progress the more the story is told. You're best friend is frank and he helps guide you through everything. It is still an early access game so bugs are expected, but the dev is so responsive they get very quick. The map is so pretty. It's not an easy walking sim with lore. You have to actually build things and learn things on your own. It is a grind to learn each recipe while surviving. I highly recommend the game. Listen to frank!! Missing his clues can make your experience difficult. I learned this the hard way. It's also not a quick 30 minute game. There is tons of content. Tons I haven't even discovered yet. But I highly recommend the game!
Has potential but just too 'alpha' for general release. No indication of what the keys are and no way of changing them. Computer companion tells you to sleep but no idea how?. Work bench / pda mechanics need a lot and I mean a lot of work.... The whole business of ? insanity at night just does not work, randomly shifting the direction buttons / opening the pda just is a pain

This is a solid game with a lot of potential. Being a single developer learning as they go, this is an excellent start. Reminds me a bit of mix between the discovery and likely death of ARK, the interactive physics of ECO with elements of early start Valheim. For a new venue with hints of much to come and in an alpha state just released, this is one of the few that I have no problems with paying full EA prices. Definitely looking forward to further development and where the future leads this game. Give it a try and keep in mind the heartfelt work put into it and have the patience of learning the ropes early on and the exploration of much more to come.
The world is beautiful and terrifying. Everything you could want from a lovecraftian survival horror game. 10/10 totally recommend.
This is a great game that I had the pleasure of backing early on and being able to support the single developer in bringing their dream to life. I didn't know what to expect initially but what I saw was really promising so I wanted to see where it went. Over the course of a year, I got to see the game go from a concept to a fully realized experience. The game play is really interesting and unique, the sound design is very dynamic and the voice actors did a really great job of bringing the characters to life. This is the true embodiment of a story-driven survival game. You build, craft, you can construct whole buildings, you can craft tools and traps, and all that survival stuff but what really makes this game stand out and I'm so excited to see how the game and story evolves overtime. So proud to have been apart of thi s journey. Do you like story driven survival games? Well R'lyeh is the next step.
This game had a lot of promising potential and i cant wait to see the future QOL improvements and bug fixes, and knowing this is a single dev hard at work on this is AMAZING
