R.B.I. Baseball 20

Do not be fooled by the license, after 2 games I've seen enough. This has so many lacking features. For starters, there's no hit zone and you can't influence where you want to target hitting the ball. It's thrown and you have to time contact or power, that's it. You can wind up for power and keep holding it forever with no penalty. Hitting for contact is useless, my only runs were scored on bombs and I rarely had runners. Secondly, the AI is so dumb it will accept any trade you offer at the beginning of a new season. I got Betts, Ohtani, Altuve, Freeman, and Acuña on day 1 offering the worst replacements in return. There's also no fantasy draft that scraps all the teams starting fresh which would have been nice. Third, for pitching, you don't have to warm anyone up before a substitution. You want X, throw him in good to go. The only positive from the whole experience was the confidence and stamina meters with pitchers, and how the location reticle would sway back and forth during delivery. Also for fielding, there's no accuracy or power gauge when throwing, everything is a perfect line to the base you want. I really wanted to enjoy the game. I get 30 minute lunches and I sit in the car and boot this up and got so jazzed the first day, and by the end of day 2 I was left deflated. It just became home run derby with whoever has the big stick, and then defense I rarely struggled to throw a K or get the flyout. Sometimes they got lucky with a poke when I lost a spot but mostly I was throwing 3 to 4 pitch chairs with sinkers.
