About

The war ended in a blinding flash. Now, the earth is hollow, a fractured shell hiding the remnants of humanity. A new era of evolution is about to begin. Survivors fled underground, but salvation was a lie. A sickness spread, warping minds, twisting bodies. No one is being spared.
You are a child, taken to a hidden facility deep below the surface. You don’t know why. Only that you’re sick. That everyone is. And something is wrong. You have to escape. Crawl through the vents. Follow the echoes to get to the surface. Your mother is waiting for you.

Wander through a decaying underground facility where nothing feels stable. Every room hides secrets, every object whispers fragments of a story you were never meant to uncover.

The bunker is not empty. Strange figures linger in the shadows, some helpful, some deceptive, none entirely trustworthy. Their words may reveal truth… or bury it deeper.

A labyrinth of vents and passages twisting into the dark. Something moves inside, creatures that stalk and listen in the silence. Paths split, shift, and close behind you. There is no turning back.

Though your journey branches in countless directions, they all lead toward the same haunting revelation. What you find depends not just on where you go, but on what you dare to see.

I know this developer is passionate and the game has a good artistic direction, but right now it's a little rough around the edges. I often don't like games with mazes and it would be unfair to say this game is bad because it has mazes since the developer makes that clear on the store page. Good art, story and music can save a less than fun gameplay loop in my opinion and this game is almost doing that. However, the problem I have with the vents is how simplistic and straight forward they are at first with no choices at all, to then suddenly become massive mazes. Yes, you can find rats with maps, but you cannot carry these maps with you as you have no inventory. Same thing goes for puzzle hints. You have to remember it or write it down, or take a screenshot. It's more frustrating than challenging to crawl around in darkness and hope for the best. Better progression from simplistic vents to big mazes would have helped it feel less overwhelming for me. Speaking of screenshots, I found out that pressing F12 restarts the game. This is a horrible design choice and should be removed. F12 is the default key for taking screenshots on steam. I took a screenshot and lost all progress I had made up until that point. This is extremely frustrating, especially if you played an hour or longer.
Other minor glitches/flaws
- Why can I not use the mouse in the pause menu, but I can do that in the main menu? It should work in the pause menu too I think. I prefer that over adjusting volume settings with my keyboard. - In the room with the password puzzle (clocks), the door interactable area is too close to the password lock, so when I try to enter the password, Brie will also mention that the door is locked sometimes. The two interactable areas collide with each other essentially.
Final words
I hope the developer doesn't think this review is too harsh. Many of the problems are probably early version issues and are easy to fix. A simple inventory and being able to look at the maps you come across at any given point would ease the frustration quite a bit too I think. Being able to save important puzzle notes would be great too. I don't want hand holding either of course, but I don't think seeing the maps in the pause menu or something is too much to ask for. It's so close to a thumbs up, despite my initial frustration with the mazes, but mistakes like the F12 button completly wiping all my progress is hard to forgive. This is a good start and I will probably give it another go in the future when more episodes come out. Best of luck :)

i've loved watching the process of this beautiful game unfold! the art direction, dialogue and playful illustrations all tie together wonderfully into an exciting and memorable experience. well done <333 !!!
The story is insanely interesting and the graphics are awesome, 10/10 cant wait for the rest of the game
I have mixed feelings. On the one hand, a creative and very well-written game. The animation and use of color feels unique and fresh. The characters are intriguing. My main criticism--and unfortunately, this is a big one--the vent sections. While initially a fine way to break up the scenes, the vents are way too numerous and FAR too long. Being in them robs the player, in my opinion, of the actual fun and charming parts of the game-- talking to characters, learning about the world, looking at the backgrounds, finding items and using them. Any time Brie ends up in a vent, it just grinds the story to a halt. Story beats that ARE found in the vents are repetitive, often indicating the same kind of message and themes. I found myself dreading any time I had to go into a vent and honestly, ended up cutting the game short because I just got so bored. I also found at a certain point, and I don't know if I missed something, that the game did not seem to be going forward. Spoilers: Ok, you need to get onto the second floor. Good, fine...but now it's been nearly an hour since I found that out, I have been exploring the whole time, and I'm not given any kind of direction on how to get to the second floor. What is Brie supposed to do? Is she looking for a way to repair the elevator to get to the second floor? Is she looking to fight her way up the stairwells to the second floor? Is there a specific vent to get to the second floor? Is there a specific character we have to talk to get there and if so, how do we get to them? Talking to characters yields the same kind of dialogue. Yes, I know there's a war. Yes, I know about the experiments. Other characters already told me this. Again, i am not sure if perhaps I have missed something, but I have replayed a couple times now and nothing. This adds to how I feel about the vents--eventually, it kind of feels like the game and momentum just stop. The lack of a visible goal coupled with the boredom of just wandering in dark vents with almost nothing else to do there ultimately caused me to cut the game short. I don't want to sound like I am harshing on this game too much---the good stuff is great, unique, sweet, and genuinely heart-warming. So for this reason, I am going to recommend this game because I think there is an audience there absolutely. I would say if you have played the demo or the first couple vent sections and enjoyed them, keep going. If you did not like the first couple vent sections or just found them tolerable, they only get longer.

Amazing game! Been following development since start, fun exploring all the rooms and getting lost in the vents :)
Recommended if you get trapped in a dark room with nothing but a PC with this installed.
It's a very cute game with really good art and atmosphere. Clearly a passion project that deserves more eyes on it
