That one was mostly boring and not special. Puzzles are badly explained or hinted. The story does not have a proper hook. And there are turn based battles for a reason. Lots of room to grow but it just does not work. Score: 4/9
Quest: Escape Dungeon is a compact adventure experience developed by KuKo in collaboration with Mustella Games and published by KuKo, designed to evoke the feel of classic dungeon-crawling adventures while keeping its scope intentionally approachable. From the outset, the game frames itself as a straightforward quest: a small party of adventurers descends into a dangerous dungeon in search of treasure and escape, navigating a sequence of rooms filled with traps, riddles, enemies, and environmental obstacles. Rather than relying on spectacle or complex systems, the game focuses on clarity, steady pacing, and the satisfaction of solving one challenge at a time. Gameplay unfolds primarily through point-and-click interaction, with each dungeon room functioning as a self-contained puzzle space. Players examine their surroundings, collect items, and use logic to determine how to progress safely. Many puzzles are rooted in observation and deduction, encouraging players to pay attention to visual cues and subtle details rather than brute-forcing solutions. This design makes progression feel thoughtful and deliberate, rewarding patience and curiosity. While the overall structure is linear, the moment-to-moment problem solving gives each room its own identity, preventing the dungeon from feeling like a repetitive corridor of identical challenges. Interspersed with puzzle solving are light RPG elements, most notably simple turn-based combat encounters. These battles are intentionally uncomplicated, serving more as a tactical diversion than as a core focus. Players must decide when to engage enemies and when to avoid danger, adding a small layer of risk management to exploration. Combat never overwhelms the puzzle-driven nature of the game, instead complementing it by raising tension and reinforcing the sense that the dungeon is genuinely hazardous. The balance between puzzles and combat helps maintain variety without diluting the game’s primary identity as an adventure puzzle title. Visually, Quest: Escape Dungeon adopts a retro-inspired pixel art style that prioritizes readability and nostalgia over detail. Dungeon environments, character sprites, and item icons are clean and functional, making it easy to understand what elements can be interacted with at a glance. While the visuals are modest, they effectively convey atmosphere, evoking the feeling of classic 16-bit era adventure games. The soundtrack and sound effects are similarly restrained, providing subtle ambient support that enhances immersion without distracting from concentration during puzzle-heavy sections. One of the game’s strengths lies in its pacing and length. Designed to be completed in a relatively short time, it respects the player’s attention by delivering a complete experience without unnecessary padding. New mechanics and puzzle ideas are introduced gradually, keeping the learning curve gentle and accessible even for players less experienced with adventure games. For those who enjoy completionist goals, the inclusion of a generous set of achievements encourages thorough exploration and experimentation, giving players reasons to engage more deeply with the dungeon’s systems. Narratively, the game keeps things minimal, using its story primarily as a framework rather than a driving force. The focus remains on the act of exploration and escape rather than on character development or dramatic plot twists. This simplicity works in the game’s favor, allowing the puzzles and environments to carry the experience without frequent interruptions. The sense of progression comes from mastering challenges and moving deeper into the dungeon, rather than from scripted story beats. Overall, Quest: Escape Dungeon succeeds as a focused, thoughtfully designed indie adventure that embraces restraint and clarity. It does not attempt to compete with sprawling RPGs or high-budget puzzle games, instead offering a concise journey that blends logic puzzles, light combat, and retro aesthetics into a cohesive whole. For players who enjoy classic-style dungeon exploration, point-and-click puzzle solving, and relaxed pacing, it delivers a satisfying experience that feels complete within its modest scope. It stands as an example of how careful design and a clear vision can create an engaging adventure without relying on complexity or excess. Rating: 7/10

this game is heat fr all my homies be playin ts fr
I am an RPG Maker enthusiast and I love Time Fantasy theme gfx. I found really cool stuff in here. The puzzles are very simple and serves as inspiration so you can build inside your own maps.
Very good little game, looks like the first ones I have already played. I recommend it to buy if you like the escape rooms in real life.
It costs like nothing and is roughly an hour. The puzzles are sometimes a bit random and braindead. It's also hard to guesswork when you are supposed to use the mouse. Cheers for the music though and the easy controls that can be designed better than the game has any need for. It's not bad but not good either. I just expected I had to use my brain more than playing a point and click is all...
