Such a unique game. It takes a lot to of time to get accustomed to, but Quasimorph is fantastic. I don't write reviews that often, though Quasimorph has made me feel the need to share my opinion. This game is really hard, but that's kind of why it's so cool. It doesn't hold your hand or really tell you what to do. Perhaps because of this it feels even more compelling when you finally beat a story mission or escape a mission with the quasimorph meter at 999. I love this game and I think more people need to play it!
This is an awesome rogue-like. Basically Stone-Shard in space, albeit I've found the learning curve to be a bit more forgiving (like, A LOT) Gameplay is pretty entertaining, if you like the turn based gameplay with some awesome pixel graphics and nice animations this is definitely a game for you to try. Story is a good touch, missions all feel fairly impactful, the upgrade system is good. Only complaint i have is that there isn't much need to swap operators, for me personally it just simply didn't matter. Although i did spend a lot of time upgrading my main operator's clone, i genuinely never had the need to swap. All together a very fun game still in development getting pretty regular updates and plenty of attention. Fully recommend this to anyone who likes the genre or just likes some sci fi goodness.

Opened a door. Found myself in a Corp vs. deamon fight. Got killed. Would open that door again.
NICE!
In short, Quasimorph is a fun if janky game that I've enjoyed playing. It might not be worth $25 to everyone, but I think it's worth giving a chance. The game has a challenging turn-based gameplay loop that gradually escalates from knife-fighting interns to turn-based DOOM. Combat is fairly straightforward and the debilitating injury system keeps things interesting, although "interesting" sometimes means being crippled and subsequently killed). Expect to die a lot in your early runs, but as you upgrade your ship, you develop permanent improvements to your clones, their skills, and their equipment. The biggest change comes once you take over a minor corporation, allowing you to "requisition" items from their stations completely free. Materials (and by extension the equipment you can produce) become trivial to acquire, allowing you to focus more on upgrades and freeing you from the burdens of the early game. The story and dialogue are... not great, at least in English. Most of the lines seem to be translated directly from Russian, leading to janky word choice and relatively unimmersive dialogue. The pacing of the story missions is less of a difficulty curve and more of a 10-foot brick wall: after a tutorial and a starter mission, the next link in the story chain is a 5-floor hell of demons and max-level military operators that can kill you in a single turn. It's entirely doable, but I only managed it with an endgame-level operative engineered to be nigh-unkillable. Get past the brick wall, however, and the rest is relatively smooth sailing difficulty-wise (at least based on my own experience). The ending (or at least the ending I got from following the main quest) is basically just the "stay" ending from Far Cry 3. You know, the one that made everything up to it feel all for naught. That being said, I still give the game a big two thumbs up. Its a fun if slightly masochistic experience about building a professional mass shooting business from nothing. If you see it on sale, give it a try.
