Reviews
ive played pro j(w)ank footy for 69 minutes now pros: ill take any footy game at this point cons: ill take any footy game at this point overall review: good
What a fantastic, unhinged (in all the right ways) retro arcade style footy game! The commentary is hilariously done by the wonderful Broden Kelly from Aunty Donna and is a real highlight. The wildcard system can make a regular footy game into a broken chaotic mess (again, in all the right ways), and the music is fantastic. My main gripes are that the button mashing kickoff is done too often for little reward, and the lack of authentic game modes is a little disappointing - I'd like a genuine league mode (with a points system) and a cup mode.. also custom characters/teams would be great! Otherwise this is definitely a game to be played by retro fans and footy fans (as in, both styles of footy, take your pick!)

Although I have only played a few matches I am having a good time with this game. The core gameplay mechanics (with the exception of one) feel smooth and the powerups/debuffs make every match feel exciting. There is however one thing that is currently stopping this game from being great - the player switching. It is frustrating as heck when you are randomly switched to a player no-where near the ball and at the most inconvenient moment. The real battle is not against your opponent but against this auto-switching system. Please please fix this as part of the first major patch, because it is holding back what could be an all-time party game experience.
Bloody hell this is so much fun! Being a South Australian makes it even better!
still better than Dillon's administration.
its good
Fooooooty makes me chuffed
SO GOOOOOOOOOD,
I really like the vibes in general of the game, some of the controls on kbm are bit sticky (switching players doesn't always work well and somtimes the player your controlling doesn't face the right way) but the mechanics feel mostly good. I like the cutaways when you score goals and the narrating. The game needs a more in depth season mode and ways to customise your team if it wants a player base. If the game is going to keep being developed i strongly suggest the devs look at another game called Hoop Land, while it isn't a direct comparison pretty much all of the more in depth features i'd like in this game are pretty much in that. Think it would be a good place to start if we are going to get updates.
i don't even Like AFL but Playing This game has to be the most fun i've had in 7 year's of Gaming
