Poppy Sanctum Prologue: Aquance Isle

The bug speaks to me in wingdings and then the black mages from final fantasy put me in their Go Away Orb. Understanding is overrated this is artwork and jank and just, good.

I, personally, do not recommend this game. However, I suggest that the full review should be read to acknowledge that there are MANY positives for this game. [/quote] This is a game where you are a little red panda and you must complete puzzles (allegedly) to escape the location. I'd not actually gotten anything done, I was confused on what to do and the controls overwhelmed me and therefore there is bias in my review as I've not experienced it at all really. Pros: - The art is absolutely beautiful. The title screen, the menu, the map itself, the sprite. It is all so unique but wonderful. I love the mixture of the realism and pixellated graphics. It's so good. - The sounds for this game (effects and soundtrack) are very well produced. I love all of the sound effects, they're adorable but also high quality and very fitting with the game. - The controller support/functionality is fantastic. I'd switched to controller immediately as you must rotate the screen and the perspective and it felt much more comfortable. - Very interesting mechanic to turn the screen and then even change the perspective angles. - This game, if you figure out what to do, seems to have great potential and is just so adorable. You can chirp as the panda, interact with others, the animations are so well done and adorable. This has a lot of marketability and is just so cute I can see it being played by streamers for example. Cons: - As soon as I had booted up the game my antivirus had flagged this game as a threat and all of its files had come up as a potential issue. I played it despite this and my PC was running quite hot. This is a unity game, though, so it is to be expected usually. - I wish there were some sort of tutorial level just to get familiarised with the controls. Yes, you have access to them in the title screen and in the menu of the game but it all feels very confusing and overwhelming. You are just thrown into the game, which I guess is part of the "puzzle aspect" but it just didn't feel very player-friendly. - Edited: The menu UI is fine, however, you can only select "Start" or "Controls" if you are hovering above the first letter or two, if you are to click on start from the middle or the right hand side of the word, it will not select.
