About
Monsters mutated by microplastics have invaded our realm and it's up to you and your friend to defeat them! Poly-Vinyl Pests, or PVP for short, is an arcade action style game where you and your friend take the roles of the champions from competing ant colonies. Together you’ll defeat deadly decomposers and compete for glory as only one of you can declare yourselves the queen of the anthill.
Using twin-stick shooter controls, face off against bullet hell-style boss encounters as well as each other. Outperform your opponent and gain the highest score to be declared the queen of the colony!
Between battles, upgrade your ant to become more powerful in order to fight stronger monsters and to best your rival!
Humanity is mostly gone, but their plastic waste still litters the earth. Play on levels that are filled with trash and detritus, and fight against decomposers that have evolved to use the plastics as part of themselves.

I tried this game out as a suggestion from a friend of mine, and after beating single-player once, I think it has a lot of promise. It's a boss-rush, bullet-mania style game with rogue-lite elements thrown in to mix it up. The controls feel pretty good and the bosses are pretty creative. That said, the overall sound is a bit loud, and there isn't a way to fix that in game. There isn't a settings page, for that matter. The bosses were also pretty tanky, which I suppose counteracts the infinite lives the player has. Suggestions (If you plan on working on the game anymore): - More bosses; more of a reason to build up a good build without repeat fights. - Online; at least P2P so I can force friends to play this with me. - Lives; I think limited lives vs infinite would add more difficulty to the game, but only if the bosses are tweaked to accommodate for it. You could restore lives after each fight, if you wanted. The point is to make each fight harder/possible to lose. Maybe it could be a toggle-able feature? But overall, nice work. I think this could be a great game with a little TLC

Excellent game to beat your dad at. Really enjoyed!
Poly-Vinyl Pests does an excellent job of capturing a quick but engaging gameplay loop with elements of bullet hell twin stick shooters and roguelikes. Definitely a game I will be bringing over to play with friends & family when I visit. Best as a couch co-op game! Excited to see more bosses added to the game! Also maybe add support for 4 players in online co-op???
Everyone and their family hates Laundry Snail, bro is the opposing threat since day one. Shot my dog and took my clothes, being able to properly put him down like he did to my dog brings me a newfound satisfaction that I have been missing since my life was ruined by this vile pest. Game rocks, cute as ♥♥♥♥. Add more and I'll blow up. <3

I'd like to write a formal review.... Graphics: 5/10 - Could be better Movement: 7/10 - Could be better Single Player: 4/10 - Too short and too easy. Could be harder. Overall, I dont recommend.
