I'm gonna review this game because it was worthy of my time. Games that a worse, I might not review but this was actually a game that I liked. So, here's my positive review... But personally, I wouldn't consider this game free. Buying Avalon is pretty much a prerequisite. This is a spin off so unless you buy the original game Avalon, you're not gonna understand anything in this game. So, I'd highly advise that you buy, play, and beat Avalon before playing this game. But that's actually a smart business move. This game interested me enough since it's free, that it got me to go back and buy the actual game first. Which you all should do. If you only play this game, you're gonna be clueless. Luckily the Summer Sale was last week so I brought Avalon for like 90% off or so. But after playing it, if it wasn't on sale, I'd probably still have brought it for full price. It was an amazing game. And it's worth 100% of the cost. One thing in particular that this game does nicely is it gets you invested in the characters. I'm not gonna spoil it for you, so I won't mention any names but it was heart breaking to see those good characters get killed. That was a really emotional part of the game. But I'm not trying to spoil anything so I'll be very vague about the characters that were killed. But it was really sad. If this interests you, I'd recommend you playing this game yourself to find out more. To conclude, I think I said everything that I had to for this review. Again, this is a positive review. But you should really get Avalon in order to play Penny For Your Thoughts. That's my review on this game...

Short, not a lot of choices, but a nice addon if you like the character. An extended version with more choices and adult content woulc probably get great reviews too.
it's weird, i dont like the philosphy, Penny's nose is kinda odd too. i like the story, some cute faces here, but when i got the game for free... i was concerned by how i thought this was an H game... but i later saw young looking women in it or ''small peopl''- i mean midgets, little lady body with huge heads, it just feels really awkward. maybe, this writer really loved Alita BattleAngel... but i found it looked pretty freaky, at first (i still love the film though), and maybe that is a deep seated reason as to why this game is awkward at first glance... but it's not a a bad game. i just cant recommend it, because of the one midget... i like it (she is pretty with a booty), but because of this weird ArtDesign... it looks like underage content, im like 'eugh...? why?' it's a beautiful story about responsiblity and survival, kindness & crime... but i saw it in a section of Steam that recommended like 12 other X content games, so the fact that this wasn't H content kinda annoys me... somewhere in the back of my mind. i saw the developer say in a Thread ...that there is an Rated X version up on some other website or app, probably something like a Patreon, but i cant be bothered. it's short as a story... but beautiful for 2Gigs (not 3 gigabytes, like i first assumed, i got the file size mixed up with Lunar's Choice) Anyways So the biggest drawback by far is i can't use AUTO FORWARD and Self-Voicing at the same time, that really GRINDS MY GEARS, im trying to clean my home & make some tea, without tea, so technically im making hot honey water, and this game has me clicking on the mouse constantly when i need to buy tea! that's irrelevant to this review, but still 6/10! (i would give it a 5 but i saw some THICC women, so i still like!)... it's a passing score but personally for men like me, i cant recommend. BTW: false alarm, i found some tea... i might edit this one final time (after i finish the game) but i doubt it, on my 2nd edit i feel it all still applies, i like the game but it's not for me. cool story, tho
Great VN, I really loved the characters (especially Jinx, and Penny of course!) Now we need a way to get the full, uncensored itch.io version on Steam! With a patch, maybe?
Having already enjoyed 3 other VNs from Lockheart, I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed Penny For Your Thoughts. If you enjoyed this, hop on Itch to check out some demos or check out his other titles on Patreon, A few $$ will get several titles and get better acquainted with several of the characters You can't lose .. this VN is FREE PFYT has some dark moments but overall I rate it a 9 Thanks Lockheart 👍
I enjoyed the prologue and sincerely hope to see more of Penny in the future. She is a very interesting, funny and entertaining character and I loved her in Avalon. It was great seeing a bit more of her and some backstory for her also. Great writing and story telling by Keys to My Lockheart as usual. PLEASE pull this story and all it's characters off the shelf and continue their journey!
"Penny for Your Thoughts" was a game I picked up from "XXX" category. Little did I know... that I will enjoy story a lot. I am quite sad that it is on hold, because it is uncertain if author will ever return to it. Currently it is only prologue, so I do not recommend picking it up. Unless you want to play 4h of story that does not close. Well, a chapter of great story ends here and it is fine as-it-is. Music - well done Visuals - quite original and very handsome Amount of visuals - vast... a lot of scenes have their own image... Number of characters - quite a lot, but what a huge ++ for having diversity here. Sometimes you mix characters easily in poorly written VNs. Adult content - not in prologue... I enjoyed it and I wait for more...
The ironic parallel to this story is that the most beloved cat in our lives in youth was Jinx. He was a cat that died a most horrible death. Then my brother who was the owner of that cat also died with ALS. This story brought all that up again and hit home, more than any story in an AVN has ever hit. Of course this was not intentional, but the fact that she story hit any nerve at all, is a bit win. when it comes to story telling in the VN world.
