Feels like a mixed jumble off stock assets that never really mix together. The gameplay is fine but repetitive and boring with very little variation. Not worth the price and I'd still be hesitant on sale.
Generative AI images everywhere. Not disclosed on the store page.
Sadly I refunded this game. I am not sure what it is trying to be. Part base builder, part sci-fi mount and blade. Combat is just a point and hold down LMB. Base building is slow and awkward as you do it in first person just 20m up from the ground. I didn't enjoy it because it just didn't seem to flow.
NFT-era game that was repackaged into this. Trailer shows stuff that isn't in the game. It's a mish-mosh of genres. Maybe will be abandoned at some future point since it just has that vibe. The bones aren't great, and don't get me started on the lighting. The original game name was: Earth From Another Sun - The project was envisioned as a massive, open-world galactic MMO sandbox that heavily incorporated web3/NFT mechanics. In Dev for about 7 years, and still is in this state.
!! undisclosed ai art !! the game is an amalgamation of other games but it does not succeed in any of its approaches. shocked the game is this highly rated. the roguelike aspect feels shoehorned in. the base building is reliant on timers and a lot of menus that make it tedious and feel like a mobile game. the gun play IS fun but the maps are often repetitive (and frustrating due to invisible walls in places it looks like you can go to.) there's also the aspect of capturing enemy soldiers which mostly feels like the devs played palworld and thought "heh, humans captured with spheres... neat". it felt like there was an ocean of mechanics and currencies yet they were as deep as a puddle and obfuscated by 2 menus + a loading screen.
Interesting and fun concept. The gunplay feels nice. My biggest problem is the game looks (and sometimes feels) like it is made almost entirely out of a premade asset pack and some of the art doesn't match the overall style of the game. I'm not sure if AI was used, but some of the art does look AI generated, like the icons and some character portraits.
Game contains AI generated artwork.
There is a lot going on, but it doesn't really come together. The base building has no threat or raids. The game shows massive battles but you can't really wage war. It's like very basic ai and you can only have a few to start with. Even when you get late game you can only have like 30ish soldiers which pretty much just follow. There are no tactics nor strategy effectively just run and gun. You can't skip the tutorial, but you can change the difficulty anytime. The gameplay is samey. I was expecting a little more rimworld esque base minions but they're not interesting at all. The weapons are all the same aswell. Generally feels very early access. I backed Earth From Another Sun and refunded it. I would wait on this one. There are entire chunks of the game that are unappealing like not being able to have your mininons use vehicles. or have any variation of combat like defense or scouting. I've had to mod alot of my own fun stuff to do. I can only recommend if you're out of like games and or want to support the dev. I think 5 dollars is reasonable for this at the moment, but you may get 50 hours out of it if its your cup of tea.
游戏里关了dlss还是隔三差五闪退,还卡在第一章,实在是玩不下去了。过段时间再看看是否还闪退,就先不退款了。
