Not really sure what the fuss is with this game and similar titles: they all involve running around like a headless chicken pressing one or two buttons repeatedly, clearing enormous hordes of enemies, and gaining loot that makes you more powerful, but then giving you greater "challenges" that demand that you have more loot to beat them. Like, what exactly is the appeal here? The mechanics are none existent. Maybe these games might actually play well if they reduced the number of enemies on screen and actually demanded that you play them while fully focused. You just do the same thing again and again: every game within this genre feels exactly the same. Same mechanics, same themes, same randomness, same murder-portal-town loop
