Parasite in Love

Слабенькая игра но задумка хорошая

This is such a terrifyingly beautiful game. It's short, (less than an hour for all endings) and I loved every part. There's deep themes in this, like the idea of realising that you've missed out on so much in your life, accepting that the M/C may die like this, without saying goodbye to her loved ones (e.g. her parents). The art is beautiful, there's final art depending on what ending you get as well and so it really solidifies the ending. SPOLIERS At first, he (the parasite) seems just as a hallucination, but you quickly realise he isn't just a hallucination due to the parasite but he can inflict pain on the M/C when things don't go his way as well as digging through her memories and reading her thoughts. He talks about 'wanting a family' and the M/C had a few lines of dialogue of wanting a family due to her friend becoming a mother earlier in the dialogue, showing how much hes dug through her brain. He actually takes his name from her universities unrequited lover as he went though her memories. The children, plus the disturbing art of the baby on her lap is horrifyingly brilliant and her brain within (e.g. Day 1 vs Day 5) you can really see the change as well as how the M/C is described as becoming sickly and pale. It goes in depth about the parasite and it's overall just marvellous. There's some imagery within the story, but I would totally recommend this! It's a shorter visual novel and with the endings, the art and voice acting is amazing. There's emotion in the voices and it makes it feel real with the screams, fear and anger within this short story. Please, please, give this a shot if you like visual novels! If you don't usually play visual novels, I think it's still a good idea to play it to get a feel of what I'm saying!

Absolutely worth playing!

I admit that I initially didn't have much expected from this game. I was tired and in the last stretch of finals at my university when I played through this, then found that I enjoyed it quite a bit. That said, despite my notion that it wouldn't have much of an effect on me, I was wrong. After settling on an all-nighter that night to pack my things to leave the dorm in the following afternoon, I found that my nerves, worsened by my lack of sleep, made me far too uncomfortable throughout the entirety of my morning routine, which took place at the kitchenette sink, nestled in the dark corner of my little dorm room, made even more claustrophobic by my desk and its shelves that sat right in front of it. I found myself constantly swiveling around to check behind me, haunted by the sense that perhaps Niall would suddenly appear as I stood at the sink as he did in this game. Brrrr. No thank you.
