Game-play
This title is essentially a set of digitized comics. As such, there are no decisions to make. You simply flip through the pages as you finish reading them. The comics must be unlocked in chronological order, but once read can be opened at any time (and any order).
Story
There are three story arcs to read, spread across a varying number of comic issues; Paizuri Fantasies is a paltry single issue; Paizuri Hotel is a twelve issue spread; and Yuuki's Fantasies is comprised of six issues. Overall, the comics are brief, and straight to the point; there is little to no character development, and they serve only to deliver one or two sex scenes. The comics will be over before you know it. To read more about the story content, be sure to check out my full length review (linked below).
Visuals
The titlemenu is layed out like a library, where you may pick and choose any volume of Paizuri Fantasies (that you have previously read). You can adjust audio and text preferences. I recognize the "Settings" screen from a series of shovelware (which I call the "Harem" series). Unlike the aforementioned series, the dialogue or text preferences make sense (but sadly, still play no part in the game). Is it that hard to get rid of vestigial coding? The dialogue is written in dialogue boxes, as opposed to a traditional visual novel, and they cannot be adjusted. There is no "zoom" function, and the comic book pages are surrounded by an ugly grey border. - The Goods - The comics are drawn by a competent artist. The lewd scenes look great, and there's plenty of lewd scenes to look at. Most of the content is comprised of consensual, male-on-female sexual intercourse. There is, however a little bit of girl-on-girl action. My biggest gripe is the inability to "fullscreen" the comics and the lack of a "zoom" feature. Expect female-on-female/male-on-female sexual intercourse.
Verdict
I recommend this game if you enjoy lewd comics, and are not looking for a traditional visual novel. In my opinion, the price of the .pdf version of the comics is steep, and should have been significantly cheaper (considering you're literally buying the game again). This is basically several issues of readable comics, nothing can be done other than to flip pages. Took me around half an hour to finish reading all issues. Far too short for the regular price tag ($17.49). Average illustrations even by Dharker Studios standards. Recycled music assets from prior Dharker Studios games means that they threw this together in a hurry. Almost no character development, and the comics are mostly adult scenes with little buildup. Feel ripped off even though I bought it on sale for $10, I wouldn't even recommend paying $1 for this.
Yuuki is just Sophie from the Negligee games also published by Dharker. (a nymphomaniac with no self control). I give that comic 0 out of 5 stars. I felt sorry for her when her name was Sophie and she has only gotten worse. The Hotel comics are not really finished as they leave what is going on to your imagination. SPOILER ALERT----It is a toned down unfinished less violent Euphoria without the fetishes. I give it 4 out of 5 stars as it reminds us that when the gods are angry with a man they grant him his prayers.
i have nothing wrong with the comic style and i think it introduces a few new people. now the price is NOT worth the time you put in. it's literally like a hentai pictures. not a lot really much talking. yukki artwork feels off. i don't think it's the same artist. the music is recycled.
Okay. So this is a series of kinetic novels in the form of issues of a hentai magazine. There is no censorship involved. If this is your type of thing... you won't be disappointed.
Paizuri Fantasies Kinetic Novel is an adult-themed kinetic visual novel developed and published by Dharker Studios, a studio known for producing a variety of anime-inspired narrative titles on Steam. Unlike traditional visual novels that often feature branching storylines and multiple endings based on player decisions, this title follows the structure of a kinetic novel, meaning the entire narrative unfolds along a single predetermined path. Players do not influence the direction of the story through choices; instead, the experience plays out like an illustrated narrative where the player’s only role is to advance the dialogue and scenes. This format places heavy emphasis on visual presentation and character interactions rather than gameplay mechanics. The story revolves around a young man named Joshua who unexpectedly becomes the owner of a business known as the Pai Hotel. The hotel serves as the central setting of the narrative, acting as the location where most of the story’s events take place. As the new proprietor, Joshua finds himself surrounded by a number of women who work at or frequently visit the establishment. These characters form the heart of the story, each bringing a different personality and dynamic to the narrative. Through a series of conversations and encounters, the protagonist gradually becomes more involved in the lives of the people around him, creating a sequence of character-driven scenes that carry the story forward. Because the game is presented as a kinetic novel, the storytelling structure is entirely linear. The narrative unfolds scene by scene in a fixed order, and players simply progress through the story by clicking through dialogue boxes and illustrated panels. There are no dialogue choices, branching routes, or alternative endings to pursue. This approach transforms the experience into something closer to reading a digital comic or graphic novel rather than playing a traditional game. The lack of decision-making removes complexity from the experience but also allows the narrative to move forward smoothly without interruption. The pacing of the story resembles that of a visual comic. Instead of long paragraphs of descriptive text, the narrative often progresses through illustrated scenes accompanied by dialogue between characters. Each moment is presented as a panel-like composition where the artwork plays a significant role in conveying the tone of the scene. This approach helps keep the experience visually engaging and allows the story to unfold quickly, making it accessible even for players who are not accustomed to lengthy text-heavy visual novels. The characters are the primary focus of the narrative. Each woman introduced in the story has a distinctive personality and role within the hotel environment. Some characters are cheerful and energetic, creating a playful atmosphere in their interactions with the protagonist, while others display more reserved or mysterious personalities that gradually reveal themselves over time. These character dynamics form the core of the storytelling, as the narrative frequently centers on Joshua’s interactions with the people who inhabit the hotel. Visually, Paizuri Fantasies Kinetic Novel adopts a stylized anime aesthetic that is common in many visual novels of this type. Character illustrations are colorful and expressive, often presented in dynamic poses that emphasize the personalities of each character. The artwork serves as the most prominent feature of the game, with each scene designed to highlight the visual appeal of the characters and the overall tone of the story. While the backgrounds are relatively simple and often reuse the same hotel environments, they provide enough context to establish the setting. The presentation of scenes often resembles a hybrid between a traditional visual novel and a digital comic. Characters are positioned within panels or framed scenes that emphasize visual storytelling rather than lengthy narration. This design choice helps the game maintain a steady pace, as players move quickly from one illustrated moment to the next. The visual focus also helps differentiate it slightly from text-heavy visual novels that rely primarily on written descriptions. Audio elements in the game remain relatively minimal. Background music accompanies certain scenes to establish mood, but the soundtrack remains subtle and unobtrusive throughout most of the experience. The sound design is not a central feature of the game, and the overall presentation relies far more heavily on its visuals than its audio. This approach is common in many smaller visual novel projects where the primary emphasis is placed on character artwork and dialogue. One consequence of the kinetic novel format is the absence of replay value typically found in branching visual novels. Because the story follows a single path with no alternate routes, once the narrative has been completed there are few reasons to revisit it beyond rewatching particular scenes. Players who enjoy exploring multiple endings or experimenting with different choices may find the experience somewhat limited in scope. However, the straightforward structure also allows the story to maintain a clear narrative direction without becoming overly complicated. For players who prefer a simple, linear storytelling experience, the format can feel more like reading a visual comic than navigating a complex interactive story. The game can be completed relatively quickly, making it suitable for players looking for a short narrative experience rather than a lengthy visual novel with extensive branching paths. Despite its limited interactivity, Paizuri Fantasies Kinetic Novel succeeds in presenting a cohesive illustrated narrative that focuses on character interactions and visual storytelling. The comic-style presentation helps maintain momentum throughout the story, while the expressive artwork gives each scene a distinctive tone. Fans of kinetic novels or visual storytelling may appreciate the simplicity of the format and the emphasis on illustrated scenes rather than gameplay complexity. In the end, Paizuri Fantasies Kinetic Novel functions more as a digital illustrated story than a traditional game. Its linear narrative, visual comic presentation, and focus on character interactions make it a niche experience designed for players interested in kinetic novels and illustrated storytelling. While the lack of gameplay systems and branching paths limits its depth, it still provides a straightforward and visually driven narrative for those who enjoy the format. Rating: 6/10
