It is worth a try. Still I would not pay for it. At least not like it is now. You are pretty limited with the little tools that are given, or rather not given. Painting the van is fun, but painting it twice it's not so fun anymore. Hoped for an google Alternative :( But maybe it will develop further...
Some very cool ideas. Once you understand the control scheme you can make some very nice scenes and objects. More raw in execution but much better options than tiltbrush in my option.

Зачем то рисование зачем то в вр.
Definitely worth trying and messing around with. It's a bit primitive but if you don't feel like buying Tiltbrush just yet, this would give you the experience of VR painting. With some more development this could be a AAA software title.
Interesting use of the VR controllers in contrast to Googles tilt. A bit rough around the edges and could be improved greatly. But it's free.
PaintLab is nice as a novelty program but as a legitimate art tool it leaves much to be desired. Firstly, there are only two brush types; a basic cylinder for block coloring and a a texture brush which is essentially a larger cylinder with fancy effects. The brushes are smooth, sensitive to trigger pressure, and have little to no input lag. However the nature of the lighting means everything will look like balloon animals. The color wheel is fickle and imprecise. Furthermore there is no color picker, so of you change your color intentionally or accidentally it's unlikely you will continue your project with the original color you started with. The day lighting scene is good, but lacks the ability to eliminate the van Night lighting is mediocre and lacks the ability to change light source location. No separate save files or menu options. This is a major deal breaker. I imagine you could duplicate your files elsewhere, but this extra step is unintuitive and must take place outside the program. Interacting with the painting causes a noise and a vibration which is VERY irritating and wears out the controller battery needlessly. NO UNDO BUTTON. Lack of this critical feature means using the fidgety erase option which can easily remove perfectly good strokes in the process. This further compounds the undo issue. Lines cannot be erased partially. This means entire strokes must be redone if they are unsatisfactory. In a 3D environment this means a lot of extra work for long strokes or compact detail work. This also means you can't shave down bumpy areas making proper eyes horrid to draw. While I can criticize it all day for what it isn't, what it IS is free and I give it credit for providing an outlet for us to practice this medium and to decide whether to go all in for Tiltbrush. I also praise it for the ability to manipulate objects and scale them, making a lot of the work much easier to manage. I will say though that it quickly loses pacticality when two or more objects exist in the scene.
